The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

I would have to read the excerpt in context
You are implying that the excerpt itself is incriminating as that would of tipped off the NAR that he had the document, which coincidentally no one has ever acknowledged that he had
One can make a conclusion but like I said, we dont know everything

All he has to do is say that he declassified it and there’s really nothing they can do. It wasn’t troop movement and it wasn’t nuclear codes. And, the only one dumb enough to plan a war with Iran was Milley. Hot air from the liar of joint chiefs. Milley’s already thrown Biden under the bus when they pulled the troops out of Afghanistan.

He (Trump) knew they were recording him.

Why haven’t they charged him with this. This conversation is not in the charges.

I'm looking forward to his counsel trotting out that defense.

He could have done that before the recording ... but he can't now, because he has already admitted that the Iran document had not been declassified at the time he was discussing it in July of 2021 - while he was not President. It's on the recording! It's not something that he can lie his way out of now.

What Milley had devised was a hypothetical plan of how an invasion of Iran would operate if we were to go to war with them. That is standard procedure from The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

That audio recording with the people working on the Mark Meadows book was mentioned in the indictment.

Well, they don’t know what papers he was supposedly waving around and it could have been the newspaper. Where’s the charges?

Who leaked this and wouldn’t leaking this conversation get it thrown out.

Still does not prove he was holding a classified file
When he said he could not declassify it he could of been referencing the article

The fact that the contents of page 6 of the Meadows book aligns so well with what Trump described in the recording should serve as acknowledgement that the document did exist ... and they were both talking about the same material.

Also, people in the room at the time of the recording have been interviewed and there may be more charges coming. It should be easy to clear this up, based on what those people say they saw.

Once again ... you are wrong, because Trump specifically mentions on the recording that he is holding documents which were given to him by the Department of Defense. I have said that like 10 times now.

That is the disconnect
was it the issue or the actual classified file

Trump specifically says on the audio recording that he is talking about pages given to him by the Department of Defense. That is the same material described on page 6 of the Mark Meadows memoir.

How many books were they trying to sell?

Isn’t Milley wanting a war with Iran an issue as well?
That is a misunderstanding of what Trump had in his possession. Milley wasn't advocating for an invasion of Iran. That's not what the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff does. He had prepared a hypothetical operation of what an invasion of Iran would involve if it was to be ordered by the President. That is standard practice.

That dude is being willfully ignorant, he simply can't accept it.

The US has a war plan against every country on the planet.

Trump taking the opportunity to sh*t on Milley should be expected, trump tears down others in order to make himself feel more important. He dumps on everyone who does not toe his line.

I can’t believe we actually have troops involved in a war we should have no part in. Plus, how many billions invested? Where’s the outrage over this?

The JCS would not be preparing a battle/operations plan. The JCS is not in the Chain of Command.

Milley deserves a CM for going to China
you agree?

No, just a war.

I brought this up awhile back and it scares the crap out of me

Biden would say to the country, “Look, this bum is guilty as can be. The Justice Department had no choice but to indict him. But millions of my fellow Americans sincerely believe that he is an innocent victim. I am not going to put the country through a trial if I can avoid it. If he is as innocent as he says he is, let him reject the pardon and go to trial. That would be his choice.”
