The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

To be sure, I've not read them. Have you? But two reasons:

1) what little I've heard, it sounds like Trump said a lot of things people didn't like. First amendment protects speech, especially political speech.
2) a long list of bogus attempts to "get him" that have failed. Over and over again. Yeah, this may be the one time. The only ones that may actually get him is possibly the classified documents, but given the way those have been handled in the past, doubt it. I like the odds and, as stated, I've not read the indictment yet.

Let me read them. May be willing to place a friendly wager on the outcome. Say $1000 to make it interesting and we can deposit the money with a law firm or other suitable 3rd party. One of us will collect in two or three years.
I don't know what will happen or pretend to. I haven't read the indictment, I don't know what it's alleging and how the acts he undertook would violate whatever laws he allegedly broke. I just figured you might have a little more insight. I do think appellate courts are limited in what they do and don't review. @RockyTop85 might have some information on that.

Edit: typo: Should have said I do think appellate courts are limited in what they can review. @GroverCleveland

If significant jail time is on the line, he'll plead. He's what, 76?
He'll likely serve his time at home, IF convicted. I suppose there's an unlikely, outside chance he'll serve, heavily guarded, in a supermax facility. He simply was too loose with his knowledge. The propensity to boast about holding on to highly sensitive, classified documents is a killer for him. It can't be rationalized

Checking out for the evening. Let's revisit this in three years when the courts have thrown everything out. :p

The Bernie Madoff treatment at Mar a Lago.

I suppose things could be worse.

Really: You think lying for weeks in attempt to subvert an election is a joke? You think trying to gin up an alternative slate of electors in a few states and bully the vice president into failing to do his constitutional duty is a joke? You think trying to bully the Georgia state head of elections into "finding" a specific number of votes that will give you the state as opposed to your opponent is a joke? You think inciting an attack on the U.S. Capitol by a big crowd of deeply misguided rednecks--an event that resulted in the deaths of several people, including four or five police officers, is a joke?

The only thing that's a joke is the pathetic, ignorant, unAmerican, disgraceful, dishonest mindset of gangster supporters. It's not surprising that they are congregated mostly in the deep south.

I’m not a Trump supporter but yes these charges are a joke.

No, I really do not have any insight other than what I said. I think the left and the government is so hell bent on getting him, they do not approach anything related to Trump rationally and I really don't think this is any different. We'll see.

A little whoopsie from Jack Smith's office.

DOJ admits it did not produce all the Mar-a-Lago camera footage to defense counsel in first batches of discovery==despite making that claim in court last month.

This security video story will get no blaring headlines:

The charges are a joke and Jack Smith is a pussy, he should have been charged with either insurrection or subornation. Something with some meat to it, these charges will be tossed.
Turley was saying Smith opined towards insurrection while just filing obstruction and conspiracy. Thinks it will be difficult to prosecute and prove but not insurmountable. Like I said earlier I just want both Trump and Brandon to go the hell away. Put them both in a cell together and let them kill each other.

be a lot more entertaining to see him win the election

I'll ask you the same question I asked grover (not the muppett). What about the specific allegations and applicable laws are you basing that opinion on? Keep in mind I'm not saying the charges should or shouldn't stick, I'm just curious about the basis for your opinion.
