Bill (the last major party candidate I voted for) is a Republican by today’s standards. Plus he was able to work with Newt to get things accomplished while being the victim of a witch hunt. There is nobody in the Democratic Party that is capable of working with the GOP.

Even if nothing ever comes of the indictments, it is still a fact that on January 6, 2021, Donald Trump believed that his Vice President, Mike Pence, had the unilateral authority to overturn the outcome of their mutual defeat in the 2020 Presidential Election. That is such a stupid concept. It boggles the mind.

... and Trump also promoted the "alternate elector" scheme to the point that 16 people in Michigan signed certificates falsely claiming that Donald Trump had won the state of Michigan and that they were the duly appointed electors as a result of his victory. To this day, Trump continues to assert that there was nothing wrong with any of this. He is a loon.

Are you familiar with Hawaii 1960... When Hawaii was contested, electors for Nixon already awarded, Kennedy had electors signed and sent, Kennedy had a lawsuit for recount. Won the lawsuit, recount showed the electors were supposed to be his.... Come the day Nixon is confirming electors... Book he rejects Hawaii electors and with unanimous consent accepts the fake electors Kennedy had appointed... So until 22 when the it changed, pence could have rejected this electors, problem is theer would have been unanimous consent to accept Trumps electors .... Dirty tactic, yes, dumb, maybe but the the states were in question (lawsuits) when the electors were done.....

seriously that is the issue though..they have federalized social policy with requirements for massive funding and basically authoritarian policies dictated to a vast diverse nation.
their very ideology is founded on social policy. It has become such a central theme that I don’t see anything to compromise. I cannot think of one dem policy that doesn’t grow fed government and power.

Of course your relatives were spot on. I have relatives in Arkansas too. They loved his management of the state but were critical of his personal character issues. He certainly catered to Reagan and HW Bush while governor. Basically an EO allowed us to attempt training Central American soldiers in Arkansas in defense of a Soviet push to communism. While it was a wasted effort of billions from the dark monetary sources, he had their backs for our best interests. Where did your relatives live?
