The better consideration is for republicans to access why so many on the right claim the left as an "enemy". Therein, would lie some eye opening discoveries. But repubs are not yet up to that task.

I am avoiding the poo slinging but had a tangentially related thought:
If my philosophy aligned with democratic socialism, I would be very happy. The slow, constant move of this country to socialism has yet to be curtailed. It doesn't matter who is voted in where and for how long. Uncle Sam is turning into Nanny Samantha. We argue a lot about the current events, which essentially is throwing recently uncovered rocks at each other while the glacier which uncovered those rocks continues to creep forward unimpeded.

That was always inevitable. The only issue ever was, how long will it take, and how much unnecessary pain will be inflicted along the way.
