The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

That's irrelevant of my post. And yes, I have and understand at least as well as you why they exist.
Pathetic deflection

Edit: I think we might be talking about 2 entirely different things here

I agree with you on that point. I'm not looking at the "who" angle nearly as much as what may have been compromised, and what that meant. Clinton had classified material spread all over the place, and had nitwits even emailing classified info after stripping off the classification warning. Biden had a lot of classified info at U PA with no security arrangement other than a supposedly locked closet door. Nobody even seemed to know what joe had was even missing; therefore, it could have been compromised and acted on for years with no one knowing what was happening. Trump had classified materials for a much shorter period of time and a lot of that (perhaps all) was in areas covered by presidential security staff.

I still don't think anyone including an active president should be allowed to take classified material outside designated areas. That should always be Rule No 1 without exception. There should never be any doubt that anything classified doesn't belong in a category considered presidential memos or whatever ... if it is that unimportant, it should never have been classified in the first place. I can't imagine anyone who has had and had to reason to have a security clearance in the military could believe this happy horsecrap nonsense politicians play is acceptable.

You are leaving out the most important distinction: neither Biden nor Clinton refused to return classified materials when asked.

Trump did that a number of times. And, if you believe prosecutors and the employee witnesses, he then tried to cover things up even more by having the employees destroy surveillance video.

Both of those things place Trump in a singularly damning position relative to everyone else.

Didn't clinton destroy cellphones and servers..so to be honest she didn't really return anything that could have been compromised...also Biden had documents for years he didn't return...so no they didn't return documents...

Let’s not confuse Senators stealing with Presidents. Biden should have never been asked to give back documents.

Yes, she deleted emails from her safe and secure personal server after receiving the subponea.

It appears you have worked around classified documents before and I agree. Any environment outside of designated areas Classified documents should have been tracked/logged and recovered. Evidently they were not.
What created the environment that allowed Trump, or Clinton, or Biden, or Pence outside the boundaries is happy horsecrap nonsense that applies to all?
The problem with Trump and Clinton is denial of doing so, their acts to obstruct, the documents taken, and their failure to comply with request.
All should be charged. The system for monitoring and retaining documents at that level needs to be reviewed.
None of these individuals are above the law.
Trump needs to quit doing interviews and keep his mouth shut because he simply buries himself everytime he opens his mouth regarding the documents he took.

I don't see Trump's actions being any more damning than Clinton's actions. That Biden had classified documents supposedly not even known to be missing speaks volumes - both about his incompetence and that of the people tasked as records custodians. That actually brings up the final part. Was Trump targeted for having classified documents because of he was detested by the DC establishment, and Biden( and likely Obama and others) not because they were a part of the DC establishment. This whole thing reeks of political targeting, and there needs to be a complete overhaul of the system for classifying, declassifying, and maintaining classified documents and materials. What is going on at the top levels of government is unforgivable.

Unless you are a Clinton
😭😭No doubt Hillary should have served time for her criminal activity. She did testify for 13 hours, and did it with no pending indictments against her. How many filed indictments are there against Trump. In the past he's boasted he would testify, but always balks when it comes to walking the walk. He's claimed he can't wait to testify in the plethora of cases he faces right now, but most of us know he'll never get anywhere near the stand

Donald Trump Jr., conservative Republicans ride to Ken Paxton’s defense on eve of impeachment vote

"In statements and social media posts, conservatives accused their fellow Republicans in the Texas House — Speaker Dade Phelan in particular — of attempting to undermine voters and conservative values by attacking Paxton."
