I was referring to the response. Regardless of the cause the need for response was genuine. You can argue degree, especially in retrospect, but what was done was on the spectrum of reasonable at the time.

No, I'm saying that relying on a snapshot of literally decades of overspending by a given POTUS is a fool's errand. It took decades to get into this level of debt, it will take decades of compromise and hard choices to get out..

Apparently neither party is willing to compromise and make tough choices (and haven't in a very long time). That's why both parties suck equally and many of us independent folks despise both of them.

So if this were to happen again you'd be all on the lockdown train? The home school train? The Home Depot worker being essential but not teachers? Nothing we did was reasonable. It was hysterics. I'm embarrassed I was ok with it early on. Never again. We should have encouraged people to stay at home if sick. Besides that, keep it moving.

Trump is widely considered a populist. I personally don't label myself as a conservative. I have some conservative ideas and principles. Like Trump, I tend to vote Republican because that is the party that upholds many of the foundational principles that the country was built on.
