I doubt it is illegal, but it’s unethical. The precedent has now been set though. If by some miracle does get into the WH (I don’t think he does), he will go after Biden and the Clintons after what they’ve done to him.

Willis did not disclose any gifts from Wade on her annual Income and Financial Disclosure Report for 2022, which requires the disclosure of any gift or favor above $100 from a “prohibited source” — such as anyone “doing business with the county.” Willis hired Wade as a special prosecutor on the election interference case against former President Donald Trump. Willis was recently accused of being Wade’s lover and inappropriately benefiting from lucrative contracts her office had given him.

Wade’s contract with the district attorney’s office started on Nov. 1, 2021, and he filed to divorce his wife the next day. He has earned nearly $654,000 from the district attorney’s office since 2022, according to county data.

So we need stricter accounting for members of Congress as well. This crap happens all the time in govt. Affairs, Misuse of Funds, improper hires, and the list goes on and on for both sides of the Aisle. It is only used to cast doubt on the opposition of one's counterpart and only used when someone is desperate. Power is Power but and no doubt it was funding and position was abused but it does not change the FACTS. Where Trump is concerned regarding facts it does not make him innocent. Does not change the charges. Trying to get the case thrown out is not the answer. Just change the Prosecutors the verdict will be the same and the same crime was committed if proven in a court of law. Your reasoning is a little off, 100s of thousands of $$$ of taxpayer's dollars? I don't think so. Comparing an ethics violation to several felonies is a little out of proportion don't you think?

At my job, and almost any other place that follows the law, this is a conflict of interest. You would be unemployable at my company. We have to do mandatory training on this topic. Breaking this code of conduct so blatantly is a grounds for termination. She was basically backdoor paying herself and running it up. All of this is seen as personally motivated.
