The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Read back through these posts. Very little accountability is directed towards Trump for this matter. He is mostly portrayed as a persecuted victim. He has stopped denying that Daniels/Clifford was paid or signed an NDA ... but he was lying about it for over a year.

Once again, he is never made to account for these lies and this outrageous conduct.

What crime is he going to be charged with? Have they said yet?

What makes it different from any other "leader's" philandering?
The hush money and the way it was laundered.

It can be debated whether or not Donald Trump committed some crimes. That is not open to debate when it comes to Michael Cohen, however. The fixer took the fall.

He can be both morally embarrassing and victim in this case.

I don't understand why people are in favor of using the criminal justice system to settle political beefs. The most powerful entity in this scenario is the government and it sure looks like an abuse of power even if the victim is unsympathetic.

Put the toilet seat down

That is the eternal debate. Do men have to put the seat down, or do women have to put the seat up? As a man I can honestly say that I have only sat down on a toilet once or twice in my life when the seat wasn't down.

The only people who will see Trump in a sympathetic light over this situation are the people who would never consider voting for anyone else.

You don't understand... Trump receiving the 2024 Republican Party nomination is a good thing for Democrats. He isn't popular enough with independent voters to win the general.

Trump had a tryst with a porn star while his wife was pregnant and paid the porn star hush money with an NDA attached in order to keep her quiet a month before the 2016 Presidential Election.... The National Enquirer was also involved in this scheme. It is very unseemly.

Martyr ... my a$$.

Do you honestly think going after him is going to sway independents to the Democratic side?

Bwahahahaha

He's accused of laundering money?

I’ll grant you option 4 is an option. But if no one is buying your product (and clearly they aren’t) you are left broke with no revenue.

Just claim everyone in the market is racist, sexist, or both and you will be fine.
I'm just left to ponder why they are scared to answer, but I do like to ponder.

Leave it down even when you piss. Then go to the negotiating table

I think it's a little more complicated than that. This was a classic case of the "fixer" being played for a fall guy. Cohen is not sympathetic either, but nobody is being reasonable when they suggest that he orchestrated this payment on his own accord, without any direction or guidance from Trump at all. Before 2017, I don't think Cohen was at liberty to excuse himself to a urinal without Trump's written consent.

it seems you reached their conclusion for them then asked them to consider why that was their conclusion.
I really didn't. I gave my opinion. LG gave his. You gave yours. They were all different and I found all interesting.
I think everyone should consider whatever conclusion they reach. 100 different conclusions, 100 different considerations.
Why people are reluctant to engage in a little self analysis is beyond me. Maybe it can be uncomfortable, who knows.

check your wording which I reposted - it tells a different story whether intentional or unintentional.

also, not answering your question isn't an indication that people are reluctant to engage in a little self analysis - that's a peculiar conclusion, an awfully big leap about someone simply because they don't answer.
