The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Trump’s biggest mistake was running for president.

Had he not got involved in politics, I doubt any of these allegations would have happened nor would most people give a crap.

I don’t think Trump is a good person but the people whom used this as a political stunt to remove him from the ballot aren’t any better than him.

There’s corruption on both sides and you damn well know it.

Do you actually think he's innocent? Or do you prefer it be overlooked because he's running for office ?

Seems to me the MAGA crowd have insisted on legal accountability for lots of Dem politicians over the years. But shoe's on the other foot and suddenly it's bad process to hold an active candidate accountable?

Hmmmm... lot of hypocrisy up in here today.

Innocent? I'd say that the entire prosecution was politically motivated because he was running for office so it's a wash. I honestly don't know what he was found guilty of given NDAs are not illegal and plenty of case law suggests NDAs are not political contributions.

Criminalizing politics regardless of party is bad. I'd be in Camp 3 if this were happening to Biden.

Another sad but predictable result of the 2016 trump catastrophe.

Run a better candidate than Hilary. Republicans got Trump because they couldnt find better candidates than McCain and Romney. Dems got 4 years of Trump (so far) because they ran an unlikeable mouthy hag. If you dont want 4 more years of Trump then find a better candidate than Biden. And hurry.

I’ve seen a lot of posts but I’ve yet to see what the felony is.

How do you try a case if you don’t say what the felony is?

Or was it just to show the average person Trump is convicted? Rhetorical of course.

The jury ruled that Trump was part of the falsification scheme with the intent to cover up a campaign finance and/or tax reporting violation..

His mistake was running as a Republican. Had he ran as a Dem all of his sins would be forgiven and he would be eccentric. Like a Yankee version of Steve Cohen.

Has there been a leading candidate for the Democratic nomination for President that was pursued in multiple courts by the sitting Republicans?

Biden has ZERO to do with this. You know better than to suggest he had a role in this. But I know, I know. Alternative facts and all.

Camp 5 - Trump clearly was part of scheme to falsify records. He is a lying, immoral, and unethical blowhard. He is not innocent here and his actions are partially why he is here. But this case was 100% a political prosecution that should have never seen the light of day....
Yea I created a Camp 5 that I think might fit you -

I wish they both could lose

I think there actually is a Camp 5 upon further reflection.

It’s a position @RockyTop85 alluded to in the Georgia case (if I’m remembering correctly)…

I wish there was a way they could both lose.

Applied here - The Government doesn’t get a Win using these tactics, but somehow Trump still Loses.

*This isn’t to say RT85 holds this opinion in this case. Idk how he feels about it.

I'll add, NO ONE, NOT A SOUL on this planet actually believes Trump was innocent. You just don't like that he was prosecuted.

That's fine. I can see that. I think you're wrong but I can see that point of view.

But don't for a second tell me you believe his lies, as recent as today, that he did nothing wrong. Please.

The right will adopt the tactic on candidates, too.
Which will erode quality candidates from our choices.
It will further dissuade the best Americans to stay as far away from politics as possible.
Damn. We were doing so well getting good candidates too!

There’s plenty of smoke that gives the appearance the WH was connected. But yea, Biden probably didn’t have a clue.

I’ll amend it though -

Has there been a leading candidate for the Democratic nomination for President that was pursued in multiple courts by the sitting Republicans Republican DAs & DOJ?

Its not even the conviction. Of course he was guilty of some/few things. I'm not a legal expert, but I dont often hear of a jury convicting of every charge. People are just naturally argumentative and disagreeable. 34/34 counts is a red flag for me. JMO

100% guilty of the Misdemeanors he rightfully could/should have been charged with.

The hypocrisy of liberals screaming about Bill Clinton being treating unfairly is laughable. It's like you guys forgot about your approach to sex between adults
