The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

^^^^ A member of the right wing echo chamber, ^^^^ who never contributes anything other than false parallels, with the occasional "what-about-ism" thrown in. It is always done to change the subject away from the thread topic. Everything revolves around deflection.

Did they get him yet? Tucker still on the air?
Tucker will stay on the air as long as he is willing to express opinions which affirm the belief system of his MAGA viewership ... even when he doesn't actually believe anything he says. MAGA viewers clearly don't care if his opinions are genuine or not. They want to be manipulated.

The long winded hypocrite, partisan hack version of stating ... no, they didn’t and yes, he is

There is nothing to indicate that Rachel Maddow didn't believe that the stories she was covering were true .... and she spent a great deal of time discussing the June 9, 2016 Trump Tower meeting - which did, in fact, take place. She also frequently discussed Roger Stone's ties to Julian Assange - which was also accurate.

What I am most critical of Tucker Carlson for, is the very clear fact, that he was making bad faith arguments. Per his own text messages, he did not truly believe that the 2020 Presidential Election was stolen from Donald Trump. He argued that it had been, only because that was what his viewers wanted to hear, and he only cared about ratings.

Maddow sold to her viewers what they wanted to hear as well. Accurracy in Media national editor Carrie Sheffield agrees:

Maddow has long “ignored basic journalistic, fact-checking practices and the presumption of innocence in our legal system by relentlessly pushing unproven conspiracy theories about supposed Russian collusion” and her “lapse in journalistic balance” is part of why Americans have declining trust in the national media and why some reporters appear to be distancing themselves from her show.

Without his rhetoric, it is not a guarantee that there would be "death and destruction" following his indictment. This is inciteful rhetoric.

The same is true of the events of January 6th at the Capitol. If Trump had not instilled his followers with the false hope that he could still retain the presidency, and then held a rally in front of the White House, where he also called for his followers to march down to the Capitol, then there would not have been a security breach of the Capitol that day.

It's an attempt to intimidate. This was a threat.
without any of Trump's rhetoric, before the one in question? I would agree no guarantee of violence.
Without that specific piece of rhetoric, I would still bet on violence if he was arrested.

marching on the Capitol is legal. protesting is legal. we had politicians calling for protests at the Supreme Court nominations. heck they were giving out home addresses, and saying their wouldn't be peace if those members got approved. I remember Maxine Waters being the worst, but I am sure the rest weren't far behind.

People do have the right to peacefully assemble. They do not have the right to trespass, break down doors and ransack offices. In spite of all the evidence to the contrary which has been posted here over the last two years, you want to believe that the events of January 6th were completely peaceful. It's a lie.

Think about the trespass part for just a moment. Does the federal government own us or do we own the federal government? Another little thing you might want to also consider is how can an illegal alien be anywhere in the US without being guilty of trespass? If a citizen can be guilty of trespassing on government property and you think should be held accountable, the why the free pass for illegals?

For the record, I do understand that federal facilities are workplaces and some sense of order has to be maintained. Sometimes it's for safety, sometimes it's for security, sometimes it's so that work in everyone's best interest can be done. However, I have a real problem when our "representatives" lock themselves away and distance themselves from us while doing our business. If there's no interface between us and them, then it becomes far too easy for them to believe they are lords and we are subjects. Congress needs reminders on who represents who, and that doesn't happen when they are sequestered in a safe building and the protestors are marching in the streets of some other city. Further, the capital and other buildings have been occupied more frequently by the left than the right, and nothing was made of that lack of decorum or damage.

'I hate him passionately': Tucker Carlson's true feelings about Donald Trump unmasked

Tucker Carlson would never say that on his show. He is a Nielsen ratings whore and a fraud.

In terms of individual program performance, Tucker Carlson Tonight broke The Five’s 11-month streak as the most-watched cable news program. The program averaged 3.25 million total viewers in the month of March at 8 p.m. The Five dropped to second, averaging 3.06 million viewers at 5 p.m. Jesse Watters Primetime (2.67 million), Hannity (2.505 million) and Special Report with Bret Baier (2.20 million) rounding out the top five in total viewers. Tucker Carlson Tonight remained the top-rated cable news show in March among adults 25-54 (421,000).

... but there is nothing to indicate that she didn't believe what she was saying. You are missing the point.

And that article's criticism of her is off base. Just like Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson, she does not identify herself as a journalist. She is a political pundit.

Does anyone think BB will eventually realize he is everything he claims to hate? I don't think he has it in him to admit it.
Does anyone think you are capable of contributing ideas that aren't either false equivalencies or what-about-isms? That's pretty much all you do.
