The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

That can hardly be dismissed as "doing business."

A man vested in the CCP does not place tariffs on the CCP.
A man vested in Putin doesnt:

Bomb Syria, Russia's main client, and unleash the U.S. military in Syria, including against Russians
Arm Ukraine
Weaken the Iran nuclear deal
Browbeat NATO allies to increase defense spending
Approve $130 billion in new defense spendind
Add low-yield nukes to the U.S. arsenal
Shut down Russia's consulate in San Francisco
Pump more U.S. oil and gas, making the U.S. more energy independent

Byron York on how Trump was actually tough on Russia.
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/07/16/her...tough-on-russia--and-where-hes-backed-do.html

On CNN’s “New Day” on New Year’s morning, the network’s Fareed Zakaria was asked how U.S. Russia policy under President Joe Biden might differ from policy under President Trump. “I think, in general, there isn’t going to be as much difference as people imagine,” Zakaria said. “The Biden folks are pretty tough on Russia, Iran, North Korea. You know, the dirty little secret about the Trump administration was that while Donald Trump clearly had a kind of soft spot for Putin, the Trump administration was pretty tough on the Russians. They armed Ukraine. They armed the Poles. They extended NATO operations and exercises in ways that even the Obama administration had not done. They maintained the sanctions. So I don’t think it will be that different.”

I’ll be really surprised if he’s not indicted in NY.

Do you know how bad your case has to be to not secure an inditement? It’s a one sided affair where the prosecutor holds all the cards.

It must be a really, really weak case. 🤣

Without his rhetoric, it is not a guarantee that there would be "death and destruction" following his indictment. This is inciteful rhetoric.

The same is true of the events of January 6th at the Capitol. If Trump had not instilled his followers with the false hope that he could still retain the presidency, and then held a rally in front of the White House, where he also called for his followers to march down to the Capitol, then there would not have been a security breach of the Capitol that day.

It's an attempt to intimidate. This was a threat.

Sorry but Jan 6 was the political version of a player flop in a sporting event. To their credit the dems acted the part as well as any football kicker who was never touched but still got a roughing the kicker penalty assessed.

Remember this little part of the 1st Amendment? Where else would you assemble to petition congress?

or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances

Sorry, but that is ridiculous ... and simply not the way most reasonable people who have seen the video evidence choose to perceive it, including Republicans, who are being honest with themselves and others. This shouldn't be such a tribal issue, but thanks to people such as yourself ... it is.

No part of the 1st Amendment makes trespassing and vandalism legal. Both of those activities were rampant on January 6, 2021 at the United States Capitol. There wasn't any "petitioning" taking place either. It was mayhem.

Soooo Trump owes China, and Biden gets money from China.

Exactly the same thing. In some parallel universe.
Trump has been bought and paid for by China ... So has Biden, but at least I can admit to that. You want to believe that Trump has the high ground on Biden with China. He doesn't.

People do have the right to peacefully assemble. They do not have the right to trespass, break down doors and ransack offices. In spite of all the evidence to the contrary which has been posted here over the last two years, you want to believe that the events of January 6th were completely peaceful. It's a lie.
