The Masters Tournament

a co worker, sigend up for the lottery, and got 4 tickets for Tuesday..My ex-neighbor then traded us 2 of the tickets for Tuesday for 2 today.
My coworkers father-in-law couldn't go, so he asked me, and I couldn't say yes quick enough...

I also can't Thank my ex-neighbor in Chicago enough for the hook-up he's provided...

He's let us use his house outside of Augusta , and is sponsoring us at the Double Eagle Club (basically a corporate hosting site, with food, drinks, etc during the Masters) for the two days were here...

I'll be signing, myself, wife and kids up for the lottery going forward..

This place is awesome

I started signing up for the lottery last year. Obviously I didn't win & didn't have any hookups this year. I'm not paying scalper prices that's for sure.

One of my customers hooked me up with two last year because a friend of his had given him tickets to Thursday and Friday. This year I got 4 through the lottery.

Been in the lottery for years. Never gotten tickets on my own.

I think you can sign up some time in May & you get notified whether you won or not late summer early fall.

Looking back at emails I got my lottery result on August 22

The way I won mine was kind of weird. I was originally sent an email saying that I had not been approved for any tickets. Then, sometime in mid-late September, I received another one saying that I had been approved for 4 tickets to Monday's round and that I needed to pay for them by a certain date in October or I would forfeit them. I can only assume that some of the people who won tickets in the original drawing didn't pay for them by the deadline, and there was a second chance drawing where I was then selected.

Yes
by the end of the day, only 1 turtle was left....

Were you wearing UT Loudmouth shorts?

Proof there are some real idiots in this world.

Lots of good info on where to set up shop to see some the best action. Thanks for posting those of you that are down there now and the ones that have been before.

Anybody know for sure what time the gates open on Thursday? I would love to see the opening ceremony.

Sharp Aquos Quatron 70" 3D 2 pairs of glasses. Open box. $1744.00. No remote.

I want a Samsung, but its a grand more. I may pull the trigger on this Sharp.

The main gate that lets you in to see the practice range and go to the gift shop opened at 7:15ish yesterday. They opened the gate to the actual course at about 7:55

The first tee time is at 8:00am & the old guys hit their shots at 7:50. I'd assume the gates should open at least 7:00am.

I have a 60" Aquos. It's not 3D, but it's pretty damn awesome.

I have a Samsung 55" plasma. It'll be an upgrade for sure.

Just checked Costco, that same tv is 1899.00 brand new and I get a 5% discount. I may call my buddy at hhgregg and say no thanks.

Arnie, Jack, and Gary hitting their tee shots is the tops. That's the #1 reason why I would rather go on Thursday than any other day.

Schedule - 2013 Masters Tournament

According to this, the gates don't open till 8:00 on Thursday, but they opened them early yesterday, and I'd be really surprised if they don't open a little early on Thursday as well to let people see the honorary starters. Anyone wanting to see that, I'd suggest you be there pretty early, because you can't even see the tee box from the middle of #1 fairway. You'll need to get up prett close around the box if you want to actually see the guys. #1 is pretty impressive, you walk in the gate right by the main scoreboard, and from the middle of that fairway, you can't see the tee or the green.
