The Masters Tournament

Seems like I saw on sports center that Tiger played a practice round with some of the members. Any word on if he's gonna try and play?

Currently showing 80% chance of rain for Monday. Let's hope that changes!

Dude here at work won lottery tickets for Monday last year and was there 1.5 hours before they closed the course. So, they gave him tickets again this year for Monday to make up for it.

That's pretty cool.

The weather has changed every day that I look at it. I just hope it changes again.

Monday practice round tickets are down to about 300.00 on stubhub. I don't think that's unreasonable for a once in a lifetime kind of thing.

If you're willing to wait, you can get them for less than that I'm sure.
I used to go to the practice rounds back in the late 70's to mid 80's when you walked up, handed them $10 and went in. Back then it was Nicklaus, Norman, Watson, Ballesteros, Crenshaw, Kite, etc. as the favorites.
Couples looked awfully young back then. I remember seeing him talking to his mom and dad near the practice green, and you could certainly tell that he was a chip off the old man's block.

Nah. Sitting at 398 right now. I didn't see much movement either way. I'm paying particular attention to Monday simply because I'd like to take the wife next year and at 300/each I'd consider, but 400 I wouldn't.

I'd like to know how their operation works on site. All tickets listed at this point say you have get it from their tent. I wonder if one could walk up Monday and score something cheap mid-morning.

They crushed the secondary ticket market several years ago when they bought up the subdivision around the course, leveled it and turned it into a giant parking lot. You can still get tickets up and down Washington Ave, but the last few times I've been, they were really policing the scalpers in the lots.

Yeah I didn't see much action on Saturday last year out and about.

I'm wondering though, how StubHub specifically runs there operation. The sell hospitality tickets to their tent as well, so I'm guessing it's a pretty solid operation there.

Some impressive kids in the drive chip and putt competition. It was fun to watch and get a look at bits of the course.
