Augusta National is beautiful, but when it's playing firm and fast like this week, nobody is going to charge up the leaderboard and the back 9 on Sunday is about as interesting as a game of checkers. Once Bubba made it past 11 and 12 without splashing one, it was effectively over. There just wasn't a 31 or 32 out there to be had on the way in.

They should move the tees up or just shorten a few holes altogether especially 11. It's no fun watching guys bail 20 yards right on their approach every time. The 7th hole was better before they lengthened it too. 14,17, & 18 have lost a little excitement due to length too IMO.

I wish now I could have see the course prior to the lengthening.
It wasn't markedly different really. Mainly just existing tees extended back. 11 is the only hole I can think of that really looks different now that they've added all those trees and straw up the right side. That used to be light rough and the hole was 50 yards shorter, so they'd just bomb it up the right side to set up an angle and then hit 6-9 irons in there.
How about Bubba's drive on 13. Have you ever seen one down there? I haven't. Only 140 left on that second shot. He is curving the ball on lines to places I've never seen at Augusta National. I guess they could put some bunkers where he's hitting it.
Bubba hit it way down there (somewhat by accident I think) but I've seen plenty of guys get to the flat in the 170-180 range.
Thirteen turns hard left and walks out at 510 yards (because of the woods and creek, you cant cut the line and cheat it too much). He had 140 left to the pin on the second and hit a 56 degree wedge. I cant recall a 370 yard cut (lefty) or draw (righty) on that hole ever by anyone. Your right about an occasional 170-180 for the long hitters. But, I don't recall anyone ever being where he was with that drive.
