nah, didn't even hit the green. It's a configuration where you walk about 1/3 of the way back down the left side of the sixth fairway to tee off on 7. 6 green is on a hill and the hill continues to rise on the right side of it. Landed at the crest of the hill above the green. 7 doglegs 90 degrees to the right and up the back part of the same hill so I actually had a pretty easy approach in. Did make a divot on the approach in case that's what you meant (and yes i PROPERLY repaired it. nothing upsets me more than people who don't know how to properly fix divots).
BTW, i'm with doozer. I won't say hate, but I'm beyond envious of you at the moment. Stay dry tomorrow though.
the slope in the fairways don't get justice, but the slope in the greens is ridiculous and they look flat on TV
anything can happen because putters are the ultimate equalizer.let me hear what you all think is going to happen this weekend.
i'm kind of under the impression that some of the guys atop the board my come back some tomorrow, or at least that's what i gather from the guys on TV. is that accurate? what will it take to win?

Immelman will slide because he's an awful putter and the pressure likely shells Snedeker.
If it rains, the bombers are going to come ripping to the top (Tiger, Mickelson, Singh types). If it doesn't, the highball hitter that remains conservative and makes a load of 8-10 footers will be there. Sounds cliche', but the guy that just takes what the greens give him, stays below the hole, avoids 3 putts and makes the 10'ers and in is likely the winner. The guys forced to be late weekend aggressors will post high numbers. Those back 9 30s just aren't on this course, unless someboday makes some bombs.
Mickelson hit it well on the range as did Retief again.
Mickelson hit some flops on the range that actually backed up.

Immelman's a very good ballstriker, but his putting has made him a mediocre golfers. He's the South African version of Sergio. He loses his putter, he's toast. Honestly, anybody here is very capable of posting 78, because the track is brutal.do you really think Tiger can overcome that kind of comeback even if the rains come? He's got to get his driver straighter regardless of what the rains possibly do. Immelman might slide, but I don't see a 3 or 4 over day tomorrow for him.

Sat is generally Tiger's day here. However, if it's gonna be, his driver and putter need to behave better.
I'd make Mickelson the favorite right now.with this kind of quote and I'm shocked to be saying this, Mickelson sounds like a favorite and Tiger could be in some serious trouble. Tiger should have about 4 holes under his belt before Immelman even tees off. That's not good for Tiger because he's going to have no idea how he needs to play. I can guarantee though that he'll be scoreboard watching so he knows how he must play Amen Corner.

Youknow, I know and all the players know that if Tiger gets it rolling, everybody tends to come back to him. It's the Nicklaus advantage.
that's true and I thought about that. But coming back to him with 7 strokes just seems hard to do. I could see him losing maybe 3-4 tomorrow, but I can't see him losing 8 over two days. Perhaps I'm too optimistic. (note, i'm not rooting for a nonamerican necessarily, I just like to see change at the top of the leaderboard. I also think if Tiger loses the Masters, he'll go on an unbelievable run the rest of the season the likes of which the sportsworld has never before seen because he won't have any pressure)
