Tiger just made one of the best pars at 18 that I have ever seen. I don't know that many people would even think about playing it that way, much less actually make a 4.

had to laugh at Nantz when he said he's only seen one other person play 18 from there in all his time doing the Masters. That person was Nantz himself. Also pointed out at the end that he didn't come close to saving par.

i actually thought to myself "jeez, how many times have i shot from another fairway to the green? and how many pars have i made?"

the answers were a lot and none.

I actually one time hit a horrendous tee shot on #7 of Graysburg Hills just behind and above the #6 green. Fired a 6 iron 12 feet to the pin and walked away with birdie. However, that's about the only good stat I have from the many, many, many times I've been hitting from the wrong hole.

I'm gonna assume no divots on the green since we've chatted a bit. Others on here, I wouldn't dare make that assumption.

he would have been even closer to the hole had his ball not hit Appleby's ball.

Freakin Immelman with 3 birdies on the back, on 11 (beast), 17 (now a beast but reasonable pin today, and 18. That's a rarity.

nah, didn't even hit the green. It's a configuration where you walk about 1/3 of the way back down the left side of the sixth fairway to tee off on 7. 6 green is on a hill and the hill continues to rise on the right side of it. Landed at the crest of the hill above the green. 7 doglegs 90 degrees to the right and up the back part of the same hill so I actually had a pretty easy approach in. Did make a divot on the approach in case that's what you meant (and yes i PROPERLY repaired it. nothing upsets me more than people who don't know how to properly fix divots).

BTW, i'm with doozer. I won't say hate, but I'm beyond envious of you at the moment. Stay dry tomorrow though.
