The Masters

That's one of the few times I saw him live. I was actually to the right of that green (along with about 6 million other people).

I don't know if making a 20 footer down that hill can be called easy, but he did pour it right in the center. Not to mention his enormous lead at that point probably forced the third shot that stayed short. It's a tighter race and he's probably forced to give that more effort. As it was, a bogey would have been just fine.
I'm sorry. I said 11 but meant 10. Where his approach stuck in the right fringe...

I missed seeing how his third came to be on the right side just off the green, but he had about 30ft down that sloping green for par and just buried it. An amazing putt at a critical moment.

I almost like the practice rounds better for exactly the reasons you stated. It's laid back and you get to enjoy the course without fighting for a view like you have to do on a tournament day.

even if you're tall? i'm about 6-3 and never have a problem ever seeing over a crowd.

you were right the first time. that was on 11.

to me, the big putt was the one he made on 9.

Unless you plant yourself early at a hole it is tough to see over the crowd. It is stacked layers deep and you never know where a player is going to be playing from.

BPV, i was mostly just making sure everyone knew you were a Patron and not a fan or a spectator.

as for the practice round, out of everyone that has ever went they have said the same thing you did. The practice rounds are when to be there. Also have heard multiple times that the merchandise isn't pricey at all. One day I too will treat myself to a Master's birthday present.

never been a fan of multiple posting, but this deserves the pub and I'm not sure enough people are going to see it in the Choked thread...

Hats of to Miguel Ange Jimenez. Left for dead on day 1 after a 77, he snuck into the cut as the dewbuster Sat morning with a second round 2-under-par 70 and finished tied for 8th at -1 for the weekend

Yes and very cheap. They do not price gouge at The Masters.

It's definitely a little shocking the first time you walk into a concession stand at the Masters and realize the buying power that a $5 bill has.

Yes...and the egg salad sandwiches are the best in the world. Having one means you are there at the moment, so maybe that skews the impression some.

I will say that is the loosest I recall ever seeing Tiger at a major. I've never known him to be laughing it up and smiling so much during a major.

. . . and he had to birdie 18 on Friday to even make it to the weekend.

seriously? I thought he was massively intense.

I saw him walking with Cabrera I believe on Friday, practically laughing. I saw numerous smiles other times. Just did not seem like the Tiger you usually see during majors or any tourney, at least not my normal impression of him.

Admittedly, I didn't see him as much as I'm sure the TV showed him.
