The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

VANDYMANIA POST ! PRICELESS!!

I think a mistake was made when they hired coach Mason. They didn't say they wanted someone from Stanford.. they said they wanted someone like Fred Sanford.. and they got him!! Games like this will give the fan base "the big one Elizabeth!!"

And Another "Whats the post game interview gonna be like for this clown of a coach? He can hardly do public speaking as it is let alone after he just got out coached by a 2-10 Temple team. P A T H E T I C. I hate working around UT fans i truly want to quit my job just so I dont have to hear them run there mouths. Thanks Mason"

And Finally : "They have managed to give all 3 QBs PTSD in one game"

Gotta love the use of "there mouths" and the run-on sentences from a supposed Vandy scholar. Anchor Down, losers!!!:eek:lol:

As crazy as this sounds I don't think Dooley would get absolutely rolled by a team like Temple like Mason just did.

Close enough. I had to sit through that awful game at Vandy stadium when Dooley showed how good he could coach in 2012.

When he shut the vandy "fans" out from seeing there practice cause he didn't know which fans was which he must hae forgot to raise the fence some his secret got out lmao #anchordown

Would vandy be losing if James Franklin had stayed
Posted via VolNation Mobile

Yes. Jimmy Frank was all smoke and mirrors.
Bobby Johnson left him Matthews and a roster full of redshirts. The east was down. Perfect storm.

Asshat knew the score . He couldn't get out of town fast enough. The rape case almost sunk his chances.

That was a cluster eff of epic proportions but every AD in the country should be thinking about not letting your team switch to the 3-4 in one year. UGA failed miserably their first year at it, we tried hard to only win 4 games when we did and now Vandy was Vandy. Again lots of issues last night but their D was abysmal.

I don't think so. I don't like him any more than any other UT fan, but the man can coach. I'm loving this game though.

Vandy would still be down this year with Franklin at the helm simply because they lost a lot of their best players including Jordan Matthews, who has the career record for most receiving yards in SEC history. But they wouldn't be getting beat down by Temple. Instead they probably win a close game against the Owls with Franklin at the helm. With Franklin at the helm, Vandy would have probably won 4 or 5 games this year. He knew that he would be taking a step back this year, and that is one of the reasons why he left when he did. With Derek Mason coaching, I think Vandy will be lucky to win 3 games. I am predicting a 2-10 year for the Commodores.:eek:lol:

The only reason Vandy won't go 0-12 is because their non-conference games are so terrible. But based on what I saw last night, they'll go winless in the SEC.

Of course, Temple was considered a terrible non-conference opponent so the other 3 aren't givens.

They don't have Jordan Matthews to bail them out. They would suck under Franklin too, without their star WR. But the difference is in recruiting. His departure hit them in recruiting like Kiffin's did ours. So, they would have more talent on the roster than what Mason has to work with. Mason is pretty much where Butch was, when he first arrived. Behind the power curve (because of all the decommits in their class). It will take him some time, but losses like this don't help his cause any.

Agree with part of this, however, Mason is in a much better situation than Butch was. Consider a couple things....1. They've been winning the last couple years during what has been the greatest era in Vanderbilt football history, so they came into last night with an expectation to win and all positives within the program. Butch had exactly the opposite following Dooley.

2. They had the luxury of red shirting 21 players from Franklin's last/best class. Twenty-one! Butch will play upwards of 25-28 true freshmen this year, which is a big difference. Those 21 redshirt freshmen, many of which played last night, gives Mason a temporary reprieve from the poor class he brought in this year.

Bottom line, there's absolutely no way in hell Vandy should've looked like they did last night vs a pretty bad Temple team at home or anywhere else for that matter. Mason looked like a lost puppy on the sideline last night and his QB play was atrocious.....they're in big trouble.

Lets show vandy fans how big boy programs handle themselves. We've been the big brother for 99% of football history and we shouldn't act like it's something new. I mean we should be above all this making fun of them and rubbing it in that they lost to temple no matter how they've acted to us the past couple years....Aw what the el. This is fun. SUCK IT VANDY.
