The meltdown that is happening on the Vandy message boards

Don't blame Peterman for your coaching staff's decision to play him.

Who I'm blaming for it is irrelevant to my point that Peterman killed us.

However, since we're on the subject, playing Peterman wasn't a bad decision. Worley was underperforming and I would argue that Worley played better after he saw that his job was THAT bad in jeopardy.

Now keeping Peterman in the game for that long..... that was a bad decision.

I still don't think we beat UF even with Worley. People forget how bad Worley was at that point.

Also, apparently Peterman looked good in practice, but **** himself when he took the field. It happens.

Is that you Crompton?

According to Vandy message boards "Tennessee was able to come out of the fetal position for a moment when Franklin left, but now after this 'dynamite hire' Tennessee is curled back into the fetal position again"

I mean...... seriously......

They just had another commit flip to Penn State. Now they are #73.......

......... right behind Tulane.

I wonder if we can come out of the "fetal position" now.

"At this point, I am perfectly OK letting this class go and signing the recruits who wish to be here. We have 21 redshirts ready to play next year. We will recoup what is lost in this class."

From vandymania. Lolol.

Has Vanderbilt ever been in the position to issue a "Didn't want him anyway."?

For a philosophy professor, maybe

I doubt Franklin's message had to change much to get these kids to flip.

at Vandy:

"We're a top academic institution, your degree will mean something here. Over here is where 4 of our players broke through a door, and proceeded to rape someone while the university turned a blind eye"

at PSU:

"We're a top academic institution, your degree will mean something here. Over here, we have the country's most infamous locker room and shower stalls."

I actually think they have a couple of others doing visits with Franklin at PSU.

Never mind, it was a flip that Rivals already showed. Still funny to read the Vandy boards with them saying "Oh yeah? Well, we didn't want you anyway!"

There are quite a few on there who think it's no big deal that they have a completely decimated recruiting class. Mindblowing. I'm not sure if they are delusional or just totally ignorant about football. Probably both.

Another one of my favorites:

Isn't this the kid a week ago was solid Vandy? Someone tell me how that changes in a week and you would think that we could compain to NCAA or Someone to get it stopped. I bet there is a new rule that come out of this slaughter. Too late for us

In reference to McSorley who flipped today. While yes, it is a douche move, it's still the way the game is played. But apparently the special snowflakes down at Vanderbilt think it's a tragedy of Biblical proportions and the NCAA is going to step in on their behalf.

Boo hoo

For you guys who are not in Nashville- talk radio is just hilarious. Nothing but whining on how much of a scum he is. We could have told you that all along!

They started a thread called "things UT fans can/can't do". It was a bunch of same old lame jokes that have been recycled over and over. One of the things they said was UT can't "win football games". A UT fan finally got on and drilled them with this:

memphisvolunteer wrote: Wow, where do I even start! I love the fact that Vandy fans think college football started 3 years ago. Can't win football games? Let's see:

- UT has over 800 wins in their history. Only 7 teams in the history of NCAA Div 1 football can say that: Michigan, Texas, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Tennessee. Vandy?

- UT has an all time record of 804 - 361 - 53 which puts them 10th in all time winning percentage in the history of the NCAA. Vandy?

- UT has won 13 SEC champtionships which is second all time in the history of the SEC. How many has vandy won?

- UT has won 6 division titles since the SEC broke into Eastern and Western divisions in 1992. Vandy?

- UT is 3rd in the history of the NCAA in bowl appearances (49 bowls) and is 6th in bowl wins. Vandy?

- UT leads Vandy in their all-time series 73 - 32 - 5.

But yeah, we can't win football games.

The East was as bad as ever this year, with UT being at its lowest point in history, as well as UF, but Vandy, with their best team ever, still couldn't win the east. I guess maybe one year you will luck into it.

Even with UT at it's lowest point in history, we still aren't scared to face strong teams. Whereas if you are vandy, you schedule 4 patsy non-conference games to assure you get to a bowl game. UT plays anyone anywhere, but vandy........

Even with UT in the midst of a losing season, our coach had us with the #2 ranked recruiting class (currently #3) while your best coach only had you barely in the top 25 which is good for the lower tier of the sec.

Good luck with your new coach. Actually seems like a great guy. However, people should warn him that this is the SEC. You have to get up for 8 conference games...not just 1 or 2 a year like the Pac-12.

annnnddd silence......

"Stop living in the past. UT is on the decline" is their response.

If only recruits felt the same way.

Also, that post got deleted and the thread was locked.

Vandymania is a bunch of weak, limp-wristed, inept douche bags. Offer any view or opinion other than their own and that's what happens. I thought about signing up just for the heck of it but I would be banned in a day.
