Good stuff there at the end.

I wonder if Hornish would've had anything for pole had he not slipped in turn 1 those two times or were Castroneves and Kanaan's last runs better than what Sam's would've been?

I'll miss most of it in favor of the Cup race. Ah well, try and check in during commercials.

May 27th is officially one of my favorite days of 2007.

Monaco in the morning, Indy in the afternoon, the 600 in the late afternoon. :rock2:

not a bad line-up so far. 5 former winners in the field. i wonder what the record for most winners in the field is.

Congrats to everybody that gets to go! It's on my list of sports things I want to do sometime before I check out of here...I will at least be enjoying the race in the splendor of HD this year.

I love the Sunday before Memorial Day...its my ultimate racing veg-out day. I sit on my @$$, fire up the grill, and watch the 500 prerace show, the 500, the 600 prerace show, and the 600. Usually have a bunch of friends over, but watching at the g/f's parents' house at the lake this year (hence the newness of HD, cause I couldn't afford it, lol)

Oh, and Tom Carnegie is awesome! He retired after the race last year though, they have a new PA guy now. TC was there 61 years, thats amazing. He was on one of the ESPN qualifying shows, and didn't seem to be doing all that well.

yeah, ole Tom has been going considerably downhill for the last 4-5 years now. his retirement was somewhat based on the fact the Speedway got tired of him butchering everybodies last names.

doozer, I was reading an article earlier about the National Auto Racing Memorabilia Show that is held in Indianapolis during race week. Have you ever hit that? I can't find the article now for the life of me, but it was a nice writeup by Robin Miller. There was also a Q&A in it with the owners of the show.
