The fact that they armed themselves and sought the guy out should be enough to get prosecuted, but I would guess their attorney will use the video to claim self-defense. In no way do I see it that way, but I would expect the argument to be made.

They created the situation. They armed themselves and set out to chase this guy down. Absolutely they should be charged. Wrestling with an armed man wasn't a good idea, but what the two armed men did was still wrong.

According to other reports they had already cut him off once and he turned and ran the other way. In the video he looks like he tries to run around the truck and since the person filming didn't catch it all, I think the driver came around the front and confronted him with the shotgun. I think at that point he switched from flight to fight and tried to disarm the guy. If they had been chasing him a while even if he was an avid jogger like his family said he wsa probably getting tired.

Pretty much how it's going to go down based on current information. Armed confrontation by civilians is bad mojo in and of itself. Specifics of laws vary from place to place but if the firearm was used in a "threatening manner", like pointed at the subject, that in of itself is usually construed as an assault and potentially a felony unless some articulable reason to do so is established. Precisely what led up to the struggle is what will be argued by both sides.

Maybe maybe not. I believe a Grand Jury should take a look. Two armed men going after an unarmed man and the unarmed man is shot dead. Probably needs to be looked at.
