The murder of Ahmaud Arbery

‘I Know Where You Live’: Shaun King Appears To Issue Public Threat Against Men Arrested For Murder Of Ahmaud Arbery

Social media activist Shaun King appeared to post a public threat against the two men who have since been arrested and charged with the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.

“To Gregory & Travis McMichael,” the warning began according to journalist Andy Ngo. “I need you to know that I know where you live and where you are hiding out. Right now I’m the only thing keeping about 150 different from people killing you [sic].”

I don’t think this is the video I saw on Facebook. This one seems to have more detail.

1. there is something in the road. Is it a hammer? Idk. I don’t think so. Crowbar? Maybe? Odd looking branch? Maybe.

2. It looks like he engages contact. He runs to the right side of the truck and appears to have freedom to continue running but comes at the guy. I couldn’t see that in the first video I watched.

The move the jogger makes coming around the vehicle doesn't make a lot of sense. You'd think he'd either run for the woods or at least run away. Instead he seems to intentionally make a tight loop around the front of the vehicle and engage the shooter. I guess I could understand going for the shooter if he either suddenly found himself at gunpoint (looks too quick for that) or knew there was no other way out.

Probably some verbal contact Or threats before this video started that would shed some light.

I think we can all agree Shaun King is a fraud. No one likes the dude.

Yeah. And I didn’t see that loop the first time I watched. Idk if the video was cut or if I didn’t notice

King acts like a buffoon but I do find it hilarious that he dislikes Joe Biden. He takes a beating for it too. He's a Bernie supporter.

You’re saying you can’t understand my perspective or why he runs at the gunman?
Why he runs to the right and then turns back towards the gunman. Its like there's a pack of dogs or a lynch mob to the right. Yea, not likely but like I said yesterday, I don't buy he just decided to go try to take the gun away from the dude.

Other than trying to disarm the guy, idk why you’d run directly at him like that.

Jason Whitlock Blasts LeBron James for Saying Blacks Are ‘Hunted’

Fox Sports 1 commentator Jason Whitlock bashed NBA star LeBron James on Wednesday for “trolling” Twitter and using the murder of Ahmaud Arbery to build his “brand.”

Screenshot-JW-640x480-640x480.png

Whitlock was incensed that James exclaimed that blacks are “literally hunted everyday” in his Tweet lamenting the horrible death of the Georgia jogger.

“We’re literally hunted EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME we step foot outside the comfort of our homes!” James hyperbolically tweeted on Wednesday when social media began revisiting the Feb. 23 death of Arbery.

Whitlock felt that James was making matters worse with his claim that blacks are “literally hunted” every day by white racists.

“This isn’t helpful,” the Fox Sports Speak for Yourself host tweeted.

“It’s twitter trolling,” Whitlock added. “It’s using this man’s tragedy to build a brand as more outspoken than Michael Jordan. There are all kinds of ways to draw attention to this tragedy. Suggesting that we are hunted everyday/every time is just ****-stirring.”

“If the goal is to promote justice for Ahmaud Arbery, LeBron’s rhetoric doesn’t promote justice. It promotes emotion and fear, the enemies of justice. We can continue to promote emotion/fear, or we can seek justice,” he wrote.

Yea, that's what I'm saying. He's been running the whole time and seemed to be going in a direction that was away and maybe safe. Then boom, he decides to head back towards an armed man?

Shaun King is one of the worst types of persons out there...a "black" guy who's not really and uses woke social justice to scam people, steal money, and to incite false rage into incidents like this

This isn't helpful at all. Stupid statement like this could get him in a world of trouble should some other cowboy go after these three accused, or soon to be accused, in this shooting. He's been known to be a moron with his posts in the past. This is one of the most moronic things he's done though.

He clearly had to know that the guy was going to be waiting on the other side with a gun. Really need to know if there were other ways out of the neighborhood, how long the cars had pursued, if they had the guy boxed in etc.

The crazy thing is that these guys had to think the video helped them or they would have deleted it immediately, gotten their stories straight and claimed self defense. But, I've probably been watching too much Ozark.

I haven't heard who the person is that was taking the video. I figured it was someone neutral or it would have been destroyed.

Keep in mind that Arbery had already run away once and they doubled back and cut him off a second time. I certainly can't read his mind, but I would definitely find it reasonable if he decided to switch from fight to flight.

The theory I've seen, and I think it makes sense, is that's the third guy named in the police report. As for why they didn't destroy it, they might have thought it would exonerate them. It's amazing what people will hold onto (see my link to State v Parsons).

Think about it. The guy already had the shotgun in his hand like he might be ready to shot him as he came around the truck. Wouldn't you attempt to disarm him with a surprise attack if you felt you could be shot in the back if you kept running? Think about it.

There is some rumblings the guy in the video was a third member attempting to stop him. Apparently at one point it is said your can hear him cock a gun. Not sure if this is true.

If they hadn't shot him at that point when they had opportunity to do previously, I wouldn't expect them to just shoot him if he continued to run away from them. Especially when they'd already called the cops. Not sure how they would explain that to the cops when they arrived.

Would I run at someone with a gun when I'm outside? No. Seems pretty dumb to me. Probably be alive if he hadn't.

Can someone shed light on something I heard last night on one of the news channels -- that the shooters were basically out looking for the perpetrator of the prior crimes/and or saw this guy and thought he might be the suspect, and THAT THEY WENT AND GOT GUNS AND CAME BACK to confront him. Is that true?

That would be really bad.

Yeah, they saw him and got the weekend rambo posse together. Unclear if they saw him running or peeping into the house that was under construction.

You overrate your own stealthy ninja like abilities. If I had 30 yards between me and a man with a shotgun, I wouldn’t run at him.

So they saw him, left and went and got guns, and came back?

That would seem to be the epitome of vigilantism.
