The NBA Draft.

Brandan Wright is plenty ready for the vigors of the NBA. And I'm willing to bet he'll be an All-Star within 3 years at Golden State (perfect fit for Nelson's system.) As for Richardson, he won't flourish with their current personnel situation. Charlotte needed an efficient post prospect, and Davidson doesn't come close to fitting that bill.

I hope you are right since he is from Tennessee. However he will need a few years to adjust, improve offensively and gain some weight. (6'10 210 lbs)

I'm not saying the Boston move was a good move but it could work. I think Pierce and Allen will have more than enough shots to go around b/c who else do they have? I could see them trading Pierce (it's rumored he wants out) for a good player or two and keeping Allen. That would make sense to me, plus they got rid of Wally and his contract.

What happened to Derick Byars? The local shows have been harping for a week on him going 15-20. I see he went 42nd. Being he is a commodork, it made me laugh a little.

Depending on what they do the Celtics move might actually be good. They have two guys that avg 22-25 ppg they can dangle in front of teams. Whoever they can get the most for they will trade and keep the other. IF they do that I like the move.

Uh, no. There isn't a team in the league that's going to give up quality talent to take on Paul Pierce's contract. As for Ray Allen, if there was a team willing to give Seattle a better return than what they got from Boston, the Sonics would have dealt with them and not the Celtics. It's not like Allen's market value is suddenly going to skyrocket.

Hat, this may have been discussed, but I felt like Seattle just straight owned Boston in that trade. You?

...and why on Earth would they give up the #5 pick for just Ray Allen? Is Big Baby worth it?

Oh yeah, him playing in front of Okafor makes sense. And at least May has been playing in the NBA for 2 years. Wright is not ready to play this year, sorry. He's seen as a 2-3 year prospect- not an immediate impact player. Richardson was needed to take the ball at the end of the game. Let's see in October.

I don't think McRoberts will be much of a NBA player but I think Byers and Green could play a active role.

Forgot all about that trade. I still can't believe Jordan traded away Brandon Wright (a UNC guy) for Jason Richardson. GState is going to be even more fun to watch next season. The West was clearly the big winner last nite.
