Forgot all about that trade. I still can't believe Jordan traded away Brandon Wright (a UNC guy) for Jason Richardson. GState is going to be even more fun to watch next season. The West was clearly the big winner last nite.

It's really sad seeing the West continue to improve, but seeing the Lakers staying in neutral.

Oh yeah, him playing in front of Okafor makes sense. And at least May has been playing in the NBA for 2 years. Wright is not ready to play this year, sorry. He's seen as a 2-3 year prospect- not an immediate impact player. Richardson was needed to take the ball at the end of the game. Let's see in October.

Sean May was developing this year until he hurt his knee. Wright will not see more than 25 min next year.

Sean May has no offensive game outside of the low block. Not to mention his defensive presence is beyond disgusting. Again, Brandan will thrive in Don's system as early as next year. His game is perfectly suited for their up-tempo pace. I'll place a wager with anyone betting he won't score at least 10 points a game in his rookie campaign.

if you think so little of may's offense, you must find wright's simply unwatchable. wright will play d and get lots of offensive boards, which is the only way he'll score because they cannot rely on him within offensive sets and his ft shooting is entertaining at best

No, you're just simply ill-informed on Brandan's game. He already has nice footwork coupled with adequate post moves in the low post. He possesses a soft shooting touch around the basket, a nice hook shot he can get off on anyone, and is emerging as a very capable post passer. Not to mention he can score and defend in a vareity of ways unlike May (particulary in transition). Once he improves his strength and mid-range game, he'll be an absolute star in this league.

footwork is worth nothing and ability to get off shots is worth even less if you can't put in the hole. as for his 'post moves in the low post'-who cares. he will likely develop some offensive game over time, but it is as weak as there was in this draft. his strength and mid range game don't exist today.

Wrong on both accounts. If Brandan couldn't put it in the hole, why did he lead the ACC in field goal percentage this year? Not to mention he broke the ACC single-season freshman record shooting a whopping .646 percentage from the floor.
