Here's a twist....

Naz gets found innocent not guilty of this crime and after his release, he rapes and murders Chondra.

Could the step dad have hired the hearse guy? He seemed to think this girl thought she was all about herself and destructive without really knowing her or having a substantial conversation ..

I think so. Also a bit of a parallel to Naz; he didnt' want to see the cat's life end and he doesn't want Naz' life to end either. Plus he visits both in prision, though the cat's prision is now the spare bedroom.

I do laugh at every episode he does a little bit more for the cat, like now he's playing with it through the door. Too bad the cat is a killer and Stone is next :)
