in my best Alanis Morrisette......"isn't it ironic..."Touchdown Tennessee
I love it, lawgator1 rips people here for singling out one player on the Vols to discuss, yet manages to find the time in his sea of hyopcrisy to dedicate a thread in a UT forum about the trials and tribulations of young Joakim Noah.
:birgits_giggle: LG c'mon man.........:clapping: remember, you guys are in the final four.....you really expect sympathy???
this article has nothing to do with the University of Tennessee or VolNation.
What Noah may or may not do when he gets to the NBA has nothing to do with it.
Right LG...
:cray: holy crap. The reason this is a Volnation main board thread is that it is about what Volnation has been saying all year long about Noah. The constant refrain that he is ugly, or that he's brash, or that he taunts people that taunt him -- that is what the thread is about. Therefore, it is appropriate to the main board -- because it is exactly about Volnation first, Noah second.
You are correct O+W=H: What Noah may or may not do in the NBA is not what this is about. It is about an individual -- not because he is going to be good or bad at the next level (unlike the prasie Meachem or Manning threads that are posted here every ten minutes). Its about how much people like to mock Noah about something totally irrelevant to the task or issue at hand and how Noah has responded to that, by being even better and more significant ot his team on what matters.
That's the point.

so what???? what do you care???Utterly and totally two different things. You guys are relegated to going woo hoo every time a player from UT does something good as he leaves or after he is gone. You do that because the team is mediocre. So you take solace in the fact that, hey, at least such-and-such is good.
(Which, ask hatvol, makes no sense because all you are saying is that we have great talent, raising naturally the question of why you are second fiddle in everything).
I talked about Noah because he has been singled out here for ridicule. And responded by leading THIS team to the Final Four.
Again.
See, when I talk about Noah, its in the context of what he has done for UF., When you talk about Meacham, its ion the context of what will one day do ... for Meacham.
Just for the record.
I'm almost certain I have never taken a personal shot at the guy. Or anyone else for that matter.
Here's a slow clap for ya.........:clapping:Not singling out particular people and don't have the time to go hunting through the prior threads. But you've seen them and know what I am talking about.
Am I rubbing it in a bit? That people here have mocked Noah's looks and he has responded by taking that criticism everywhere he goes and staying focused on getting UF to where it is now?
Hell yes I am.

all you do is come on here and go boo hoo because your guy doesn't get the so called "respect" YOU think he deserves, and then want to lecture us on how virtuous he is because of the "harsh" treatment he's received this year......
excuse us if we ain't buyin.............:salute:
Normally LG, your posts are well received and in generally enjoy reading your point of view about things, but jeez, sometimes you come up with this stuff and you blow all credibility.........get over it. We don't like Noah.......oh, shocker.hmy:
Noah has taken about 1/10th of the heat that Christian Laettner, JJ Reddick, or the Fab 5 took in college. If he even notices the jeers, that simply proves he's a pampered, mentally weak child.
Find one post i've ever posted here where i mock his looks. You don't like him because of how he looks, first and foremost. Also because of how he acts, which is brash and with swagger. And it makes you mad that he has boosted a hated rival to the top of the game. Don't pretend you don't think he's incredibly valuable to a very good basketball team. Anyone who has watched Florida in the last two years can see the obvious.
