Ha. How many of our VN experts had Tommy on their list? :)

Very few of us know anything. Following recruiting is fun and I like to get other poster's perspective. However, I don't trust anybody who says they're an insider.

Recent events lead me to the conclusion that none of us knows anything. Funny thing is, I've been following recruiting since the late 90s, and I swear I have to re-learn that lesson every year.

According to Tux/Leb the numbers preclude us taking a punter. What happened? Leb/Tux?I saw no punter projections on who we could offer. I guess we can't get Richmond or KM now. lol

The numbers are tightening up.

We have an awful lot of needs to fill and so few scholarships available to give in filling them.

Per the thinking on here, we have 24 spots to give in total and now have 18 commitments. That means we have 6 scholarships left to give.

Is Butch planning on some other players leaving soon to free up some additional spots? I sure hope so.

The P commitment does not bother me at all. Just means we'll have to scratch another "take" off the list.

At MOST, 6 spots left IF they try to sign 24.

Had anyone mentioned a Punter would be a take over Gibson a week ago the fallout would have been priceless. That's for sure. :)

Yes, the # is still 16. That has not changed.

It has also been reported that they may try to sign UP TO 24.

Of course that means they are over signing and either kids will leave or be forced out. As of today, they are 2 over what they have room for.

I think that disproves your theory that CBJ wouldn't accept commits if they didn't have actual scholarships, right? I think the fact that he took a punter should make everyone recognize that our assumptions are not necessarily valid.

I said they could choose to over sign, I just wanted to see them actually doing it before I would just claim they would. It's seems clear they will. Just have to hope it does not backfire on us now.

If the max they could take is 24, it now looks to me like they will do just that. If no one leaves by NSD, obviously going past NSD with 8 kids and no place to put them is a risk.

Ok, so after a couple interesting twists it looks like IF they take the max, the class could be up to 24.

At most, that leaves 6 spots.

I am counting Woods for now. I moved Bruce to CB.

Oddly enough DJ Jones is the one I am curious about. I have decided to not include Martin for now. I still feel he would have committed at camp IF they were ready to take him.

If we consider for a minute that Doug Matthews was accurate in his "6" silent commitments talk, and at least 2 of the ones who committed this past weekend were not silent commits(Smith/Picou), could this 2015 class be done as of today June 23rd?
