I have no problem with them protesting at all, but I also have a right to point out their sheer stupidity on the matter. Now having first hand experience of the New York one, I'd say it is not peaceful. No, they aren't beating people up or rioting, but they are a far call from peaceful. They are clogging up city blocks and disrupting others lives who are just trying to get to work and live their lives. They are blocking local businesses (and I'm NOT talking about stock brokers) from actually being able to function. They are defecating... everywhere. And they are constantly beating drums to try to drive their point home. They are a disturbance, unsanitary, and really affecting others' rights to move on with their daily lives. You have a beef with Wall Street? Great. You want to show your anger and raise awareness by standing in front of their place of business? Great. Do it in shifts and in a way that doesn't block everyone else. The problem is you are dealing with folks that have a freeloading mentality so they live exactly how they believe.

Don't let pesky facts like them draping themselves over a large generator get in the way. The city would have been liable if it had exploded and killed people. The party was over. Time for them to move on

So yeah, someone seriously just told me that the Border Patrol is siding with the protesters and protecting them in Boston. The person went on to say this is the start of the "American Spring" where we'll see a leftist revolution start. So has anyone else heard anything about the border patrol?

There's been an outcry from Marines after the Oakland incident. Actually found out tonight that I had met and partied with the Marine that was hit with the canister in Oakland; he was from my city.

that marine is also reported to have started a website titled Ihatethemarinecorps.com or some such. He may be a marine, but if some of the things I've read about him are true, he's cut from the same cloth as John Kerry.

It's still tragic that he's been severely injured, but I doubt you're going to see some mass revolt of the USMC.

The USMC screwed him over pretty good is what I've been told. I didn't ask for specifics but a former coworker of mine is/was good friends with him before he moved to San Francisco.

There was some video about a group that calls themselves US Border Guard.com or something like that who showed up to one to "protect free speech" but they were not govt employees.

This also shows the intelligence of OWS - they can't even get the season right...:)
