As for whatever has gone down elsewhere, I'd guess from personal experience, that the cases of police causing injury are more numerous than those of the protesters. And just like with any violent incident, whether it be with police or with protesters, those incidences are going to be put on the stage front, maybe influencing our perspective more than they rightly should. I relate it to why cops get a bad wrap in the outlook of a fair number of people, specifically young adults. We all know most cops are good and decent people, but then there are crooked ones who seem to ruin it for the rest. So say what you will about them, they are "dirty hippies" who need to get a job, deserve getting pepper sprayed, whatever. The majority are decent and good people who go out there to get behind an idea they genuinely believe in. The basis behind the "Occupy" protests remain entirely valid in my book, but to each their own. :hi:
underrated post.
