The Office: Season 8

Watched it today. Thought the episode was good overall. Why wouldn't Darryl just quit instead of asking to be fired if he really didn't wanna work there anymore. I was thinking maybe because of a severance package.

Watched the 3rd episode today; man was that painful. I chuckled maybe twice, otherwise it was terribly not funny.

I didn't really laugh a whole lot. I thought the opening scene was funny. They seem to be relying for laughs with Kevin's character a lot more in this season

I take it back, I did laugh some when Andy was trying to get Darryl to work on the job applicants.

I thought the opening was worse than the planking. It just wasn't funny, like a bad improv setup. In fact that's how this episode and the first episode felt, like bad improv.

Unfortunately the show has officially jumped the shark. Don't see it lasting long without Michael.

Hopefully Steve will make one guest appearance this season. Still have hope for it. Maybe a return to invite the crew to his wedding or it's so far into reality that he brings his baby or something.

This next episode is going to introduce us to Andy's parents and brother.

Stop watching it then. If you don't like it anymore don't watch. It's not hard.

Or maybe you should stop reading criticism posts if it hurts your feelngs so much. It's not hard. Or would you rather everyone who hasn't been thrilled with the show so far blindly praise it?

I laughed pretty hard in spots at tonight's episode, namely at the beginning and at the valet parking scene.

And wow.....poor Andy. Hard not to feel kinda bad for him after that.

If you don't like it you don't have to keep saying how bad it is. At some point you have to just stop watching it if you're not enjoying it anymore.

My thoughts from tonight's episode:

I like the way the are trying to develop Andy's character and give him more of a back story.

This was Spader's best episode, more of this please.

The Pam/Angela rivalry is silly, but the ongoing high brow stuff about the (state) senator being gay is excellent.

We need to see more Creed.

Mose has to be one of the best written characters in all of television, I guess Michael Schur knows how and where to place himself.

Stanley and his mistress making another appearance together, and being announced as such was awesome.

The more I think about it, the more the show has become uninviting for new viewers. Just about every joke and plot line is a continuation of previous seasons inside jokes. This makes it very rewarding for the loyal watchers and fans of the show, but I imagine anyone who is trying to get into now being completely lost.

Lastly, the open was great. The billboard with Dwight and Andy needs to be someone's avatar.

the episode was great. andy's brother kept getting jim's wife wrong was hilarious, and dwight hosting the party was just too good. It was definitely one of the better episodes in the couple of seasons.

moe parking the car way out was just hilarious.

Not sure I like Gabe coming back and being even more pathetic than he already was. But I enjoyed it when he and Ryan put their jackets on California.

i'm not a fan of Gabe at all.

Creed has all but disapeared, they need to get that guy back in some speaking parts.

I agree with both comments.

I watched the episode today and thought it was alright. Didn't laugh at anything though.
