The Office: Season 8

I actually liked this one once it ended. 2 straight episodes of Andy winning approval from the office. Cool that they actually did a good tattoo for him instead of the baby.

The tattoo was the best part, imo

Both episodes grew on me as they ended. Both openings have been just so dry. Then they save it with the last 10 minutes.

great episode tonight, huge improvement over last week. And as I hoped and expected they scaled Spader way back. Less of his character will be more in the long run.

Pam didn't look haggard either which was nice.

Narddog ftw

Andy had the best interview and he was even being sabotaged. That's gotta count for something.
Well yeah, the writers set it up that way. They still turned an idiot into a competent individual in a matter of episodes, and then lined up a bunch of idiots for his competition to make it believable.

As far as today's episode, I think it got better as it went on.

His character has had the most progression of any character on the show, and he has the Daily Show and the Hangover to thank for that. Because of Ed Helms, Andy Bernard went from the annoyingly mean guy that everyone hated, to the quirky guy that people didn't care for because he'd burst out in song at any given point, to the person that can legitimately lead others in the right direction. The show would have died if Dwight or Darryl got the job. I, for one, am proudly on #teamandy

Gotta say that I thought it would suck without Michael, but last night was funny. Not the same show but I think I'll like this one too. I just hate what they've turned Kevin into. I used to love him but now he's just a cartoon character.

Has there been a single Creed moment?

I know it's not what you mean by "Creed moment" but Spader having him as old guy on the list was one of the funnier moments from that episode.

1. Love the name.
2. No. Ed Helms is the biggest cast member and it's not even close. The other problem is that Jim is too normal to get the job. The only way the show can sustain itself is if there's a legitimate questioning of the boss' credentials.

You're the first to notice/say anything. Good shot.

I guess Helms has landed bigger roles... I just think Krasinski is the superior actor.

Am I the only one who thought Galifianakis was going to get the role out of nowhere?

Actually, I said something about your name over a year ago. Thanks for noticing. :)

Finally got to see the second episode; big improvement over the first one. The opening with Kevin was great. It reminded me of the talk Michael had with Andy about "baby talk".

The 2 other best parts of the show:

1) When California walks in and Andy says "Hey Dad!"
2) When Kevin says "This is where we go" and California replied "You go somewhere else".

I'm still not happy with the lack of Creed.

I thought the last episode was awful. Don't like Andy as manager and hate California. Dude hasn't made me laugh yet, he's just creepy.

I did like how they had Creed working hard to get Andy, but he has not been shown that much this season.
