Maxey had a great game last night, and he’s a nice player, but that WILL NOT be close his norm.

Huge stage and he went off. After a few 2 for 10 3 for 15 nights he’ll be the 6 man he was coming into par night. Jmo

I don't know. Maxey reminds me a lot of Malik Monk from UK a couple years ago. Very similar players. Now, Maxey may not put up quite the type numbers Monk did in terms of volume because of a little more balance and depth at the guard position, but I won't be surprised to see him match Monk in terms of percentages.

I’ll be all over the eating crow if he stays anywhere close to what he did last night, but very few good 3 point shooters do it consistently with their feet as spread and off square as his were last night.
Now I do think he’s a dude that won’t be irrelevant if he isn’t scoring, cause he seems like a straight up winner/do what it takes. But his scoring last night will be the exception. Imo

I mean, nothing he did was seemingly abnormal. His percentages weren't grossly skewed. He was 7-12 shooting, 3-7 from the 3-pt line. Now, he was 9-10 from the FT line, so he may not get there 10 times/gm, but nothing else stands out as unsustainable.

His form is unconventional, and again, he isn't likely to average 26 ppg because UK is deep at the guard position, but I'm not sure he's going to "just be the 6th man", and if he is, that's a heck of a 6th man.

10-4 man. I only used the 6 man reference because that was apparently the productivity he’d shown coming into last night. And I also acknowledged “anywhere close to last night” and I’m wrong.
All I’m trying say is last night was one night. I don’t think that will be close to his norm. We can debate what a proper norm should be for the hype he’s had since last night to be real. But nothing about my post suggests if his numbers are close to last night wouldn’t make him a dream 6 man.

Florida lost to FSU. Don’t know if anyone has discussed that yet. A bit surprising I think.

So UF might be worse than expected and maybe UK is better than expected.

I just have to say it....we have some really, really dumb, insecure fans on the football side. I've said it before, but they go around searching for things on the internet to whine about and then play the disrespect card, and many times they don't even get that part right.
