I can see why JJJ fell off ESPN's darft board
Yeah, the hype from some got a little out of control. James is going to be a fine player, but he’ll never be the kind to average 20 ppg, most likely. He is just too unselfish. Right now, it almost looks like he is trying to feel things out and find where he fits in to the offense.

I was looking for tickets to the Cincinnati game. There’s basically nothing in the lower level available. Lower level sideline is $350! I was looking at pics from the upper level and it looks pretty far from the floor..

I went to Cincinnati for the Xavier game a few years ago. The UT Alumni chapter there had a pregame party at a bar nearby. Was fun.

Rough week for UK fans

I honestly wasnt too tore up about losing to UT in football. Just the nature of the loss and how I feel we really blew it...that hurt. With Terry I think we'd have won a couple more games. We are wasting some wr's and te's. The defense though is way better than I thought it would be.

Basketball I actually feel nothing. Yeah it sucks and it's a historically bad loss, but I see the potential. We will have better shooting nights and our defense was still good, just unlucky that a few of the Evansville guys hit tough ones.

If we lose to Vandy or UT Martin I might lose all hope for the football team. I'm more confident Cal will figure it out as we go along.

He is trying to get a feel for his role within this group of players, at least in my opinion. That shows a true level of maturity and unselfishness on his part. The way he moves....he's so fluid. He is going to show his worth once he gets settled.

How do you feel about Stoops as a coach? I've seen a lot of people talking about firing him after the UT game. I think he should be given some slack as he is having to use a WR at QB. I guess he should've recruited QBs better tho.

I bag on Stoops because I don't think he's a great coach, but he is a good coach. And it would be quite silly to fire the most successful coach they've had in forever. My biggest criticism of Stoops is he has a reputation of playing not to lose. I sort of felt like he went there Saturday night but then again he did have a WR as QB so at least you can buy it if he did.

I’ll just take 10 PPG at this rate. There’s a difference between unselfish and passive. He’s passive. It’s not good. It’s two games yes, but he’s shown little.

I actually disagree about the fluidity part. He looks way too stiff and robotic right now.

Gotten unlucky with QBs. Gunnar Hoak transferred. Two have gotten hurt. Jarren Williams and Mac Jones were elite commits that went elsewhere.

I feel fine about Stoops. Just need better OC playcalling. We have a 4th and 3...we throw 20 yards down field. We have a goal to go situation and we run the same garbage 3 or 4 times in a row. It just baffles me. Gran kills me.

Given the circumstances of how much we lost from last year and how much we have had to change plans because of injury, I believe Stoops has done alright. Yeah we could have won 2 or 3 more games, but we are an average team with no qb and a young defense.

Been a good week to be a Vol fan. With the football win Saturday(yes Kentucky I know but beggars can’t be choosers), lady Vol win Monday, the men win yesterday and the signing class today, I gotta go back to 1998 or when Pearl was killing it to remember a week I’ve enjoyed as much as this one.

Like I said, he seems to be feeling out his way. That can be seen as passive. He missed some valuable practice time this fall, and finding his role won't happen in November, most likely.

Ah, that's great. I would love to go, but the tickets were pretty expensive. You'll have a blast!
It’s funny I was posting about it earlier because I just happen to run into a friend this afternoon whose boyfriend works at their athletic department. She texted him and said he’d get me some good tickets. We’ll see. His family is from Knoxville and he roots for the vols so hopefully he won’t stiff me.
