Not sure where it was discussed about the whole UK not playing any Wednesday games prior to Saturday, but this stat is even more astonishing...
Good info, GB. Thanks for the work.Teams who benefit by being the last team on their opponents Wed-Sat-Tue stretch:
4: Miss St
3: Miss, Mizzou, UK
2: Bama
1: UGA, Aub, Ark, TAMU, UT, Florida
Bama hosts us at home to end one of their W/S/T. And we get Ole Miss and UK to end ours.
Seems like Auburn and UT have gotten the short end of the stick the last 2 years. Missouri the opposite.
Good stuff! SEC office must have heard the outcry against UK having additional rest in every one of their Saturday conference games, last season.Number of times each team plays at a rest disadvantage vs their opponent. (ie Kentucky played on Wednesday prior to their Saturday game against Auburn who last played on Tuesday). I'm not counting the first game of the SEC play since the schools are responsible for scheduling their prior opponent, and I'm also not counting Big 12 challenge (ie Alabama plays K State after playing on Wed vs K State who played on Tues)
6 - USC
5 - Auburn
4 - Bama, Vandy
3 - LSU, UF, UGA
2 - Mizzou
1 - Ark, UK, Miss
0 - Miss St, Tenn, TAMU
