That’s interesting. I think he’s been our worst defender by far when he’s on the court. It’s why I’m a bit pessimistic about his future. I don’t think he’s agile enough to guard 3s or strong enough to guard 4s

I agree he has been the worst defender by a pretty significant margin, but from my perspective it looks like it’s cause his positioning is bad and his understanding of where everyone is and should be. Not so much his foot speed etc..

So it may very well be correctable with time.

I think Pember may be ahead of JJ. JJ is terrible on D.

I think it’s both, but the positioning can be corrected. Even the speed can be as he gets more time in a college SC program. Admiral wasn’t a great defender as a freshman and was a bit slow for an oversized 3 like Pember is, and obv he improved a lot

Merry Christmas to all u all ! Wanna know what I asked Santa for ? The alpha Dog gene for Jordan Bowden. Hoping Santa gives Bowdon that killer instinct he gave Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. If not, maybe he will give it to JJJ. I bet Springer and Keon have it, but I'm hoping it comes a year early. I got greedy and also asked Santa for LaMonte's shoulder to be completely healed, immediately. Don't think I will get that one immediately, just as long as it eventually happens, I'm cool with that. Yes, TGO, #reefers and #beers

Edit: oh yeah, where's Indy ?

Beating this years Wisconsin team at home doesn't make us an NCAA team in fact lots of NIT level teams will beat Wisconsin level teams and better on their home court. Happens on a nightly basis especially once conference play begins. Besides, I only stated that it's a winnable game not that it was any kind of shoe in.

Obviously, he is not gonna be guarding smaller guards on a regular basis but I'm only stating that he moves well for a player his size and has held his on in siuations where he gets caught one on one with smaller guys. You underrate his athleticism. He is not Kent.

He will be a 4 and guard 4s. Obviously he has to add strength. His agility is very good for someone his size in my opinion.

Yikes. Didn't get to watch the game today and just saw the score and box score. I'm genuinely surprised we got beat so badly at home. I hope it was a bad matchup for us and not a sign of things to come consistently. We will definitely lose some games, but we'll win a few too.

At this point, I'll say I'm ready for next season. I hope they can pull something together for conference play 🤞
