Saying he is not is the dumbest thing I've heard. U can have JG and I'll take Worley and give u 10 points. Guess there is no way to prove it, but u can ride or die with JG, if u want. But, I predict if he stays at UT, he won't finish next season as the starter and I will be glad. Now this doesn't make me a JG hater, in fact, I think he is a good kid that fought through a lot of adversity this year and, at times, shined. Really proud of him and believe he gave his all for Tennessee. It's just, his all, isn't good enough, imoTo say JG is the worst QB to ever start for UT is one of the dumbest things I've read on here.

Why ? Worley could read a defense, didn't have the arm that JG has and no where near the offensive line JG, now has
He isn't the worst. The biggest disappointment relative to hype and ranking, perhaps, though J. Crompton may have something to say about that. What Chaney (and probably Kiffin) did for Crompton is what gives me hope for JG as a senior. It isn't a lot of hope, but clearly Pruitt is married to the idea of JG being the guy over his other options, so hope is all we have.I strongly disagree with your feelings on Worley. Imo, Worley is a lot better than JG and would have won 10 games if he was UTs QB, this year. JG is the worst multi-year starting QB in my lifetime (49 on the 31st)at UT, easily. In fact, probably the worst QB at UT that ever started a game, period
Considering that everyone who was not Dobbs was constantly crushed, I think our OL was bad at pass protectionThe offensive line part isn’t true. The 2013 Vols line was the best we’ve had in like, 15 years? Maybe more. 4 of the 5 made NFL rosters including James who was a first round pick.
Raijon Neal (of all people) ran for over 1200 yards that year.
And Dormady, and Peterson, and Dobbs when he wasn’t on a rollout? They all got injured constantly
Exact same argument people had about Guarantano from two years ago, look how much better our OL has been this year and how many fewer sacks we have
Ok, good point, well stated. I think I must have been thinking about 2014.Well first of all, Dormady never played with that unit. and Peterman only played a a single half so the sample size is small.
Secondly, in 2012 that offensive line allowed 8 sacks. If you didn’t know, that’s phenomenal.
The following year all the same guys retuned and in 2013 with Worley, Peterman and Dobbs we still only allowed 15. 6 less than we did this year for instance.
So...no.
2014 after that unit graduated, sure. But Worley was bad with a very, very good o-line in 2013.
My bad, sorry to offend a JG lover. He effing sucks, I pray every night he transfers. I really like the kid, just not the football player. He is a freaking basket case. What ? One game over 30 points against real teams in 3 years with 3 WRs that will probably play, at least a game in the NFL. Can't read defenses, always throws late, has no touch, can't 4get the last play and has lost more games than he has won, especially against P5 teams. If he stays, he will end up the backup before next season is over, barring injury. Are you 6? Justin Worley is the worst we’ve had since probably the 80s before Majors got things rolling.
Cmon Dog - with all that’s important in life and wrong in the world you’re wasting your prayers on hoping JG transfers? That doesn’t seem consistent with your posting history. My bad, sorry to offend a JG lover. He effing sucks, I pray every night he transfers. I really like the kid, just not the football player.
