Out of shape - Just like the other two freshmen, per Barnes.
Not ready to contribute - Immediately blocked by 3 seniors in the post, all of which will play professionally, and he wasn’t believed to be an instant impact player.
Whispers of a poor work ethic - I’d like for you to produce proof of this, because no one here has, and I’ve not seen it anywhere.

How long are you going to dance around the same issue and spin it a dozen different ways?

Sorry he isn’t getting rave reviews from the staff so far. Perhaps that will turn around quickly and I will be proven wrong

For now I’m betting Olivier plays more minutes this year

I would have to think Pember does. I think we could also RS Gaines w James/Walker/Keon playing on the wing. But has anyone commented on his off season development? Has he gained any weight?

Gaines has reportedly voiced opposition to the idea of redshirting, which I sorta understand being he did a year in prep school, postgraduate. Pember, it has been reported, will likely redshirt. Walker is one that it has been talked about due to the few minutes available to him behind Fulk, Pons, and EJA. Had Pons left for the NBA, I doubt that idea was on the table, but his return allows them the opportunity to potentially RS Walker.

I'm betting so, too. Partially because ORN has a leg up with a year in the system, Walker has had next to no offseason program afforded to him, and there is the possibility Walker redshirts rather than playing 2-4 mpg behind Fulk, Pons, and EJA, and wasting a year of eligibility.

If he doesn’t want to redshirt then I guess that’s fine but he’s probably not going to play much this year. He has the potential to see a lot more playing time in the next few years regardless of who we bring on campus. Kid is tenacious just needs a little more time

Agreed. It is probably in his best interest, but he must not believe it. Probably typical young impatience at play in that decision.

I can see it though because of his age. He may not ever be a pro player, but he would turn 24 his senior year. Most guys are ready to move on by then.

Sorry, I now see your post before this one about prep school that suggested this.

I was coming to the board to post the same thing. It is so blatantly obvious that Will Wade is a cheater yet somehow he is escaping punishment. I have a feeling this time things might be different. There is a lot of new "public" info out there today and I think it will be hard for the NCAA to turn a blind eye this time.

I have similar thoughts, seems to be a lot more info and specifics...also information from recruits he didn’t land but made offers too, even if the NCAA doesn’t act now have to think it’s getting hard for LSU to stand by him.

If LSU doesn't fire him in the next 30 days, then their administrators are taking the same path the Memphis administrators took with Wiseman. The difference being the possible decimation that could be leveled on the LSU program as a whole, basketball and ultimately football.
