Disappointed Lanier didn’t validate his resume tonight. That hurts his chances of replacing Barnes if he can’t punch that ticket soon

If the Zags, Baylor, Michigan and Illinois are the number one seeds, I would prefer to be in the Zags bracket. I just think they have a loss in 'em coming before the Final 4, hopefully it will be UT who gives it to 'em. I think the Illini would be a horrible match-up for UT with Dosunmu and especially Kofi Cockburn

You are putting words in my mouth like others here. Lanier is the guy I want for the job but already the majority of the fans I have read would prefer KE. I don’t think KE is anywhere close to being ready. I said Lanier needs to make it to the dance soon if he wants to validate his resume thus helping his chances of getting the job. Nothing like you posted sorry

Sure

1) the chancellor shouldn’t have a role in hiring athletic coaches. She should trust the AD and HCs to do their jobs

2) the chancellor doesn’t care about winning. She only cares about the perception that she has her hands in overseeing a diverse athletic department

You’ve mentioned a non posted Hubbs source that she allegedly had some sort of role in hiring a DC and provided zero evidence.

Yeah she’s the freaking chancellor of the universityS Diversity in 2021 is important and should be a consideration for her. Considering she hired a middle age white guy as AD and then we hired a middle age white guy as HC, I’m pretty sure that Donde wants the right person for the job moreso than anything.

Well that’s not really true

Vq said Plowman was very involved in the DC search.

Vq said JH kicked the tires on House and then targeted the Ohio state guy followed by Hobby. Then they said they went back to house where he was No longer interested


so yea what I said seems entirely possible if not likely

She hired a middle aged white guy because the two minorities turned her down

as far as Hubbs goes he was asked about the rumor that Plowman was
Forcing a Minority hire and he answered “all I will say is she is very involved in the process”. He didn’t confirm or deny. Now if you want a link then go search for it.
It was in the RF during that time

As for what went down with house what you initially said isn’t true per VQ...House wanted to wait till after SB, JH went back to him when they still didn’t have a DC, he accepted the job and met with Reid, changed his mind after meeting, Plowman had nothing to do with House not coming here.

Some holes in that timeline there


If house had agreed to the job but wanted to wait until after the superbowl why go after the Ohio state guy and then hobby right after the super bowl?

I think because plowman wanted them
Over house and yea then andy Reid used that against us and he said no. Just Reading tea leaves

House wanted to wait until after the SB to seriously talk is what I was saying, which is what VQ stated...JH tried some other candidates and when he still had nobody after the SB he circled back to House. House agreed to take the job and met with Reid to inform him, he changed his mind during that meeting and informed JH he would be staying in KC.

This was all reported by VQ

Yea all that lined up with exactly what I said. House was pushed to the back even behind hobby. I think we know why
