It seemed like he still shot a little flat last year at times. It was much better than his first year definitely

I have read the board, but what exactly was the hype? I think it was mildly surprising that Bailey wasn't the starter, and I think he showed last night why his tools have been discussed. He is supremely talented with his body and arm. Just needs to read the field better and use his arm better. I just haven't read anything that really overhyped him. Cautiously optimistic.

Bass was calling Milton, Cam Newton 2.0. A lot people in the RF went all in, with the size and 4.6 speed and the arm canon, he has, they were going cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs. I even saw posts that said Milton would be a better runner than Dobbs. That opinion got destroyed last night and I don't think Milton is as good of a passer as Dobbs, either. But, it was just one game. So, hope I'm wrong. It looks like Bailey is 3rd team and gone after this year. UT may end up regretting that

I saw the Cam Newton comparison. It was his size and not necessarily his skills. It was also discussed for multiple pages that the comparison had to do with their freak body types.

I know, I know. Surprised that folks on VN make things more than they are.

I know it's been difficult being a UT football fan, but we eat our own. Pruitt made a terrible decision with JG, but we have a new coach who has proven to be great at developing QB's. We have to give him some time to figure it out.

If Milton really is the best QB on the roster, I'll probably be moving on to basketball early again this year.

Carlin was the man, I remember one of my cousins playing his records, for me, in the early 80's. I loved him in the Kevin Smith movies, even that one that bombed with Carlin as Affleck's dad, drawing a blank, Jennifer Garner and Lopez were in it, too, I think.

Granted it was probably more of the vocal minority, but there was even a few "articles" about how Milton was going to be a sleeper for UT; one was even linked in the FF (Yahoo I think). And there's plenty of season left so maybe he still will be but I'm not betting on it.

Very smart. I should stay out and I don't really go to game threads much anymore. But something about having to see who is saying we'll win 10 games and beat Florida/Georgia/Alabama just makes me go back. There's at least one guy over there that if UT sent out a junior high team he'd still say we'd beat the Green Bay Packers.

I agree that’s where it would end up but why not discuss it for the topic it was intended to be and delete the post that end up crossing the line??
