The Official “Regular Posters of the Basketball Forum” Thread

Yea, CRB won’t have a clue how to guard a jump shooter. We don’t have a chance against KY this season
He couldn't really figure out Chris Lofton, even by putting KD on him. Sometimes, scorers just find ways to score. Kids like Dillingham who have unlimited range, but can also just blow right by you to the basket are problematic. I'm not predicting doom and gloom, but it's reasonable to be concerned with a team like UK loading up on a talent like that.

You guys worry about all the freshmen you’d like - I like our team and coach along with their ability to defend.
First of all, he's not a freshman. He's a HS senior.

Second, no one said they didn't like our team, our coach, or our ability to defend.

Third, your initial response is what I've come to expect from my PMS-ing 14-year old daughters. Your first response, much like the second one was immediate defense mode. Chill out, man. It feels like you're projecting, here. The original post was not inflammatory, nor misplaced in this admittedly "off-topic" thread. You don't have to agree with it, but you're being extremely illogical and unnecessarily catty and combative in your disagreement.

This isn't particularly like you, so I hope everything is ok.

Dillingham's listed weakness is a lack of defense and physicality, along with poor decision making regarding shot selection at times. ZZ is a pretty good defender and I'd trust by then junior ZZ to not get burned to the ground by a freshman. I'll also trust then junior ZZ to put him to work on defense and be physical with him.

Personally not that worried about Dillingham. He seems like the type of player that gets his impressive buckets but doesn’t actually contribute all that much to winning basketball

I would say “maybe he should have stayed at Bama for more than one year” but when you go in the lottery it’s hard to turn that down. He benefited from a weak draft though that year. He never impressed me at Alabama.

Spurs were pretty high on Primo. This is clearly a case of him doing something bad. It’ll come out.

This is strange because his contract has to be guaranteed through the end of next season. I would think it has to be something other than on the court.

Halftime report is

-Key looks like a player from the 70s with his build and facial hair. He also lit it up this half.

-Aidoo might have made the leap. He is the player I am most excited about.

- Mayshack played a lot. I assume covering some JJJ minutes. Looked much improved.

- Zags are focusing on Vescovi similar to what we saw against Michigan. Even saw double close outs on him. expect to see a lot of that this year now that the book is out on how lethal of a shooter he is.

- Game had the pace and offense of an NBA game.
