I’ve lived in Durham most of my life. I am a Duke fan, second only to the Vols. I don’t know any Duke fans that think any game is a pushover . Oral Roberts is a very experienced team on a huge win streak, with a very good point guard. Those types will get you far in the tournament. The Duke fans I know are worried about directly what’s in front them on Thursday and not thinking about anyone else yet. The Tv people are the ones that have shocked me talking about Duke in the Final 4. A few weeks ago making it out of the first weekend seemed very unlikely for Duke.

Duke got hot late in the year so I'm not surprised the talking heads are on their bandwagon. Yeah, looking at Oral Roberts, Dukes not out of the woods yet. That could be a 12/5 upset. Someone's going to be riding a long winning streak going in to play Tennessee if(and they should) get by Louisiana.

I'd agree that most of them are focused on who is in front of them, Oral Roberts. At the sane time, from reading their message board, most Duke fans are glossing over TN and think their path to a final four is easier than if they were a 4 seed like UVA. All of them are lacking their chops at Purdue and look at Tennessee as missing their starting PG and losing 7 of the last 12 or whatever. I've literally seem multiple posts on their board that this is one of the easiest paths they can remember facing.

I don’t go on Duke boards (in case anyone has questioned my loyalties), but it sounds like those that are saying that aren’t very basketball savvy. I don’t know how anyone that has watched this Duke team thinks that they can cruise to the Final 4, especially given that Duke already lost to Purdue by 20 earlier this season. Duke isn’t built to blow people out. Duke is a defensive minded team that has had to grind out most of their wins during this 9 game win streak. I think if Duke and the Vols meet Saturday it will be a very tough, physical game and the team that takes care of the ball the best will have a very good chance to win.

I'm not sure why the confidence either, but I keep hearing that they are healthy now and at full strength unlike earlier in the season.

That part is accurate. I think Duke is 16-1 when they’ve had their full allotment of players . To begin the season Duke was missing Lively and Whitehead. Both have improved dramatically and adjusted their roles to fit to the team

love the area,and my son was there three summers at Duke enrichment programs
i was surrounded at work in north Durham mainly by Carolina fans
that had a lasting effect

I'm hoping for a win but expecting an L. You can't turn the ball over like this team has been and expect to be good teams. Imo the magic number is 12 over and I think the seasons over, under and we might see the second weekend.

Here is how Saturday will go vs Duke. The announcers will sound like they are watching porn talking about Duke. Every time something happens you will think they are rooting for Duke. Tennessee will come out either ice cold or hot. Im thinking because they struggled somewhat against Louisiana that they have a good shooting performance. And hoping Duke will not be as hot as they were against ORU. But either way it will be like listening to the CBS announcers calling an Alabama football game against Tennessee. My ears will be bleeding by the time its over with. Here is hoping Tennessee shocks the world because no one is giving them a snowballs chance. Tennessee 71 Duke 67

is Barnes joking or serious here? Sorry, I don’t read facetiousness well lol. 12:45ish he says they’re going to play zone for 40 minutes against Duke.
