College basketball will be so much better when Zach Edey is in Greece playing and never heard from again.

I had to start drinking to counteract my BP going up from getting so mad that he was allowed to do literally whatever he wanted. Like even knowing it was coming I still was out of my mind.

It is quite infuriating. And to see the media spend their time doing nothing but slathering love on him is ridiculous.

Barnes coaching Aidoo into an all conference player will be studied for decades.

never seen such a disappointment come tourney time in my life. Please do not match any NIL offer that comes his way this off season.

Maybe a kneejerk reaction but I'm so over him right now. What a regression.

It was an awesome season of UT basketball. I am so proud of all of our guys.

We were a final four good. Just ran into a true conundrum. Purdue basically plays every game with a free 10+ points they get due to Edey’s size and the way he is officiated.

Seems like the only way anyone has a chance is to force turnovers AND shoot red hot.

We came close.

We didn't get the luxury of playing Clemson.

Oh come on. Stop overreacting. He was great in the tournament last year. He was all-sec this year.

Everybody isn’t good all the time.

He doesn’t have a lot of weight on him and just doesn’t matchup well with guys like Kalkbrenner or Edey.

He is very good against certain types of teams. We have Tobe and now JP for other types of bigs. It’s a really great stable of big men.

I don't know, he was pretty bad for several straight games. And he was clearly timid. He was missing shot he should hit and some were just really terrible attempts. He also was lost on defense.

I am just gutted. Every program seems to get to be the bride and we are always the bridesmaid, so to speak. Just gutted.
My feelings exactly. I’m super proud of this team and all they accomplished, but it’s just overshadowed by sadness right now. Another kick to the balls, so close to a milestone it never seems we will reach.

I hate it for the guys who stuck it out all these years, who came back year after year, and gave us a lot of great games and wins. I hate it for them. They deserved the same respect those striped jackholes showed Edey.

And, of course, I hate it selfishly for us too. I hoped Tennessee could finally break through. I really believed this year, sometimes. But I don't know if it's ever going to happen in my lifetime - to say nothing of winning one. Just tiring. I feel tired thinking about it. 2007, Tennessee was tearing Ohio State to shreds, and then they gave Ohio State 39 free throw attempts and they won by 1. Now this game, Tennessee was holding the line, and they give Purdue all the extra free throws and let Edey just maul people for fun. Just tired.

I said I wasn’t gonna bash the team if we lost, and I am trying hard, but I’m showing great restraint when it comes to this particular player.

Aidoo taking too much heat imo. Yeah, he has the tendency to be too soft but we have seen him play aggressive.

Last two games he was very bad.

Such a fabulous season for the basketVols! Our guys battled today, with Awaka, Estrella and Mashack (!!!) taking turns going toe to toe with he who shall not be named. I’ll always remember watching with my boys Knecht’s amazing feats, such him single handedly sinking Auburn! Just a fantastic group of guys, for which it was a joy to watch.

We should’ve never been placed in Purdoo’s region, how is that a proper reward for being a borderline 1 seed and a definitive top 5 team?

What hurts at the moment is in hindsight that moment we went up 11 at the 5:11 mark in the first half was the climax for us. We were feeling it and in the back of my mind I'm thinking "Please don't give this right back".....and we did. And it wasn't really much was Purdue was doing, we just got cold and lazy.

We were still in it but that last 5:00 turned out to be the game changer.

Dalton played his guts out every round, JJJ showed up big when we needed him.

Our bigs collectively had a tough run this tournament. The positive is every one of them has a chance to use that to get better. You can see JP has all the potential, excited to see his progress with another offseason.

ZZ had a tough night shooting, got some really clean looks from deep. Him being on would have been the difference. Think his legs were just not there, he played too many minutes imo and as hard as he goes on defense hard to blame him.

As fun as DK has been, as a team we didn’t win a lot of games where he went off. Almost like the guys just decided to watch him go.

3 straight games he’s been a no-show. Played the same against Miss St. if the opposing big has any kind of pulse then he’s a non factor.

If he comes back, he's got put on muscle and learn (to the extent that can even be learned) toughness. Secondly, he has to learn to score the basketball with minimal dribbling.

He's at a crossroads for his career. We'll see what he chooses.

He has to consistently hit that jumper. He became a non-factor because teams were fine with letting him knowing he probably wouldn't. And his hands have to get better.

Part of me almost started feeling anxiety instead of excitement when DK hit 4 straight 3’s and put us up 32-21. In the back of my mind, I couldn’t help but fear our guys were just going to start deferring to him rather than playing team basketball, and to a degree that did kind of happen.
