I think we're getting a little too liberal with the Dubar height shaming. He was listed at 6-8 by Hofstra. Now, I think we all know that was embellished. Tennessee (under Barnes) has a history of accurately listing player heights, and lists him at 6-6. I tend to believe that is his actual height.Boswell got in long enough to get a taste of how unready he is, probably a RS candidate if we stay healthy. Definitely seems to have some natural talent though.
Dubar I think was more about the lineup Indiana played with. They played Ballo (7’), Reneau (6’9”), Mgbako (6’9”) all 30+ minutes. Their biggest bench player by minutes was Goode (6’7”). So really Dubar at 6’5” (on a good day) at the 4 spot wasn’t an option, even at the 3 he was too small and not athletic enough to take advantage of any matchup.
Basically Indiana went 3 bigs and dared us to hit deep shots, we didn’t & they won.
The most encouraging thing from that matchup to me is we won the rebound battle 39 to 38, and our bigs were blocking shots. 8 to 3. But we saw more Cade than Dubar because of the matchups, and he played well.
None of this changes your point. Just thought it worth mentioning in context.
