People can say “it’s baseball, it happens” all they want and the lack of timely hitting/missed opportunities is part of that. My issue, and many others here, this weekend, isn’t the lack of production as much as the look of flatness and lack of focus. We made errors on 2 fairly routine plays that led directly to runs, we looked lost at the notion of them bunting, routinely stood with the bat on our shoulders, while simultaneously swinging at complete garbage, continually wrapped around outside balls leading to weakly dribbled pulls to the left side (outside of Ortega’s double) etc. I don’t know their inner thoughts and feelings but their outward appearance so far looks like one of disinterest of being there. This is the same game, but it’s another day, and we’re going on 3 days of the same look.
Losing to them isn't. Losing a series to them is. Being swept by them...well....the only word I can think of is shameful. Our response to this next game and the UGA series will be very interesting to watch. I'll say one thing. We sure as hell need Dickey back. We've been off since he left the lineup. Desperately need Dolly and Tidwell to get their mojo back, too.
If they’re reading VN’s bitching and moaning comments during the game that would explain things. If it is a lack of focus, it's understandable. Periods of lack of team focus happen in the course of a long season. It isn't uncommon for even the best of teams. Could be the kids are focused on finals week coming up or something like that. When things like this happen, THAT's when it's time to express support and positivity. It's the wrong time to go all wobbly and start complaining at them.
I’m all star level on MLB the show ‘21 on PlayStation, thank you very much! I’ll say whatever I want to say with that kind of cred! The ever go-to, you can only comment or have an opinion if you played at the D-1 level or above angle. Solid. With that said, we might as well close down message boards because there might be 2 people who can have a conversation amongst themselves.
No I won’t give UK pitching a lot of credit, they didn’t pitch all that well, we swung at garbage repeatedly. Trey struck out last night on a ball that literally wound up 12+ inches off the plate, it wasn’t like it had some amazing run on it, it never even started in the zone.

Makes too much sense...ban worthy imo. It’s the media that was raving about this team , about their greatness, listen guys we play in the S E C. These guys will have bad at bats , it’s baseball. Unfortunately we had to many in a row , it’s ok. Trey has some of the best stats ever at UT. He’s not going to be perfect all
The time. Tip your hat and move on. Kentucky has beat us 2 out of 3 so far. Let’s refocus here and Let’s go!!
Yes Sir! Not the time to be hyper critical and brake ankles jumping off the bandwagon. If it is a lack of focus, it's understandable.
