The Official #1 Tennessee vs #19 Auburn Weekend Series Thread (Friday 7PM EST SEC NETWORK) (Saturday 7PM EST SEC NETWORK) (Sunday 1PM EST SEC NET+)

What's the purpose of SEC Tournament? Does it help teams on the bubble get into the NCAA tourney maybe? More SEC revenue?

Honestly I am not sure if the winner receives an automatic birth to regionals (post season). I would think the a successful tournament could help those schools borderline to host a regional. The road to Omaha should go through LNS which is this team’s ultimate goal.

Players always compete and strive to win every tournament, but I rather the Vols go to Omaha than win the SEC tourney, similar to basketball.

Friday night, MissState was only 1 game under .500 in SEC play.
These 2 straight losses are devastating for NCAA hopes

I actually pull for State since my daughter is a freshman there. She couldn’t care less about sports which is unfathomable to me.

If that’s the case then we should be 42-2 because of the Tech loss by 1 run. Should of, could of, would of. It’s baseball and you are going to lose some games that you should win. It’s just the nature of the sport.

I think a fan of any school would be ecstatic with a 40-4 record. I am still in awe as baseball is such a different sport.

If you win the league tournament you receive an automatic bid. Not much of an SEC thing but it has an affect in other conferences. Say, Mizzou wins the whole thing in Hoover?

Oh man, there’s a great press conference you need to watch now

I never heard of it until the incident at the frat house. I think it made national news as it was an embarrassment to the university (and Greek system), but more importantly so dangerous for the young men who participated.

I did stupid stuff during high school and @ UT early 90’s, but never anything remotely that stupid.
