Here's the pro flex UTAD needs to make happen ASAP: reschedule the rain out game against Tennessee Tech for Wedenesday (7 innings) or, heck, even make a double header for Tuesday with one game against Bellarmine and the other against Tech. That way, Viltello only misses one game in Florida.

I spend some time over on the rant from time to time to see what other fanbases are saying. They really really hate TN. I mean I know why they hate Tony and our baseball team but in all sports? Doesn’t matter if it’s a nice classy post from a Vol fan, they get drug. Vols are the most hated program on that board year in year out. I don’t really care but am curious as to why. Every fanbase has their bad apples but all in all I think we’re a pretty nice bunch.

I’m not worrying about ranking right now, but I don’t think there’s any way we don’t remain #1. The loss to Tech sucks, but it was a neutral site game with wood bats—not totally excusable, but it was bound to happen, and a better look than have the loss at home with regular bats.

All we did was follow that up with another SEC series win. 5-5 with 4 sweeps. To assume we’re anything other than the best team on the nation is silly.

Today, I watched the fourth through the top of the sixth…and then turned it off. We drop 3 runs in the bottom of the inning and go on to pound Bama. Perhaps I shouldn’t watch any more games this year. As a caviat, I watched the majority last year so the jinx is clearly seasonal.

Bump…I didn’t get to watch a play and we crushed Bama. Looks like I’m not watching any games until we lose. Any other possibility?

They’ve been instigating for years on that board, then when we get really good they play victim and start calling us bullies. I can see right through their bs, that’s why I’ve only lurked.

Doesn't matter other fan bases just don't like us. Have traveled the southeast for work, we are generally disliked. Doesn't bother me , I bleed orange in all sports. I say embrace being the villain. Go vols.

We won the SEC Tournament in basketball and it took Kennedy Chandler and John Fulkerson missing the game in Tuscaloosa to pull out a last second win for the Tide. Once football comes around, we’ll own them in all 3 sports.

This thread right here is a microcosm of WHY Tennessee is going to be massively successful under Vitello and WHY so many “adults” hate Tennessee.

The kid who posted this is just a random high school recruit praising TV for sticking up for his guys. If you comb through the comments, most of the people condemning TV are a bunch of out of touch 40-60 year old complaining about how he is “setting a bad example for my son.”

But, if you look closely enough, there are quite a few comments from high school baseball players saying how much they love TV and would love to play for him. He’s a FIGHTER and the students love that.
