So you love mediocrity. Well get used to it thats what you are going to have for the next few years. Martin is a fair defensive coach who doesn't have a clue about offense.
If you figure out why, would you please post it here! I don't think Coach Martin believes TO's have the ability to kill an opponents momentum. Much better to wait for the run to balloon to 10-0 or 12-0 or hold out for the tv timeout. Seriously, I just don't get it. And it's been a recurring theme.
Losing to Middle is not embarrassing? Interesting take. Maybe Tennessee should move to division 2.
What kind of a dips--t moron are you? Cuonzo has forgotten more about coaching than you'll ever know. And no, I don't love mediocrity. We were picked to finish almost dead last in the conference, did you forget that?
Our guys overachieved for the season, they just shut down tonight.
Then he didn't kill this team.
He struggled to guard his man, due to getting injured with about 6 minutes left. He didn't kill this team.
Look elsewhere for that crap.
I concur with the previous statement made towards you in this thread. Go play in traffic.
Basketball is the most unpredictable team sport there is aside from baseball. The fact of the matter is that MTSU wanted to win and our guys were tired. I'm not embarrassed at all by the game, in fact, this season was astronomically more impressive than I expected. If you're such a great coach, why do you have a normal job/go to school like the rest of us?
I'll look wherever I want to kid. If you think he played great then give yourself a high five. He got burnt on D in the last 5 minutes like a rented mule and then got stuffed in a critical situation. It doesn't help that he had no one to help him on the perimeter, but he got beat routinely at the end of the game. I'm sorry if that was so obvious.
What the hell, it doesn't matter where the idiots pick you to finish. What matters is how you play the game. And I'm telling Martin doesn't have a clue about how to coach offense.
Ignorance to accuse a player of trying to throw the game. You should be banned from this board.
Wrong again fool! Where the experts pick you to finish means everything. It sets your expectations for the year.
The more posts you put up, the more of an idiot we can all see you are. Better go take your meds and head to bed puddin' :finger3:
With an injury. You just continue to ignore that Golden was hurt. But to say he killed the team is just flat out wrong.
McBee/McRae/and Tatum killed this team tonight, not Golden.
That has to be the stupidest comment I have seen even on this board.
Read it and weep.
Expectations were low for the Vols in Pearl's first season. Having lost their two leading scorers from a team that had been just 1417 the previous season, Tennessee was picked to finish fifth in the six-team Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference. However, the season started off well, and Tennessee entered the national rankings in December, when it routed then No. 2-ranked Texas, 9578.
The Vols went on to lead the SEC East for virtually the entire season, with other highlights being a win over Kentucky at Rupp Arena and two wins over eventual national champion Florida. But after entering the AP Top 10 in February, the team lost six of its last nine games and dropped to a ranking of 18th. Although Tennessee won the SEC East, it was upset in the second round of both the SEC and NCAA Tournaments, the latter as a no. 2 seed. The team's 228 record was one of the best in school history. Following the season, Pearl drew accolades from national recruiting services for signing one of the nation's best recruiting classes, featuring three top-50 recruits in Duke Crews, Wayne Chism and Ramar Smith.[6]
