BaseVols wrecked tech 2-0 in 2005 super regionals.... as part of the only undefeated perfect super regional record ( BaseVols 6 wins opponents nada) in NCAA D1 history (minimum 5.5 games). Somebody check my math.I was a little surprised that Georgia Tech has the lead in this series as I do not think of Georgia Tech as a baseball school.
I think Phil played in the 60sSince the 70's when Phil Garner and Condredge Holloway played.
You’re as much a glutton for punishment as I am! There have been some thin years back through there. Can’t say I’ve ever considered them a baseball school though. Actually dated a girl that lived across the street from Garner here in Houston…years ago.Since the 70's when Phil Garner and Condredge Holloway played.
I’m happy they are cracking down on it.There’s technology out there now (it’s been discussed here before; IIRC a Big 12 team is using it, maybe TCU football?) that tracks the electronic tickets getting transferred. That athletic department said they were going to crack down on those who did a lot of transferring tickets.
Get ready for Hunter High ... the New Kid on the Block .... coming soon to LNS ....
Click on his youtube highlights below that will show you what's up about this New Vols Commit.
Looks to be like another Drew Gilbert swinging a big bat coming to play Baseball for UT ...
Hopefully Tennessee will soon. They’re aware of the technology.
4 tix next to mine are Corp owned and often empty even for SEC games. It’s hard sell for UT to persuade season ticket holders to pass along their tickets on one hand and potentially punish people who do it “too much “.
I wonder how many seats were corporately purchased and passed along to customers and such?
Good point. You want to encourage folks to transfer Tix so they don’t sit empty, but you don’t want folks to buy season Tix who have NO intention of attending games. In other words, if they’re buying to resell, they shouldn’t be allowed to renew. Obviously, just my humble opinion but a stance that would keep a hornets nest environment at LNS vs a corporate “wine and cheese” crowd who show up late and leave early. It’s hard sell for UT to persuade season ticket holders to pass along their tickets on one hand and potentially punish people who do it “too much “.
