It’s why I never hate on Currie (but did write several emails protesting Schiano). I think Currie is a decent AD. However, I think because he’d worked at UT prior to being hired as AD, he wasn’t independent from or strong enough to stand up to Jimmy Haslam (who I believe was the primary reason Schiano’s name was at top of list) - he’d impressed Jimmy when interviewing for Browns. I’m not hating on Jimmy either. He wants the best for UT & that family has done a lot for my community. It’s been a heckuva long road with lots of wrong turns, but the Vitello hire was a great one and is paying off big-time throughout Tennessee athletics.
This. They would need their own exchange platform or a version of an existing one like Ticketmaster offers teams.
That is the guy @TN_gal warned us about, it’s fake.
@NorCalVol67 - is it you that goes to U of Miami baseball games?
I go to a few a year. They need to move the regionals to Marlins park or play it on an ark.
Not sure how familiar you are with the program's alumni, but Phil Lane passed away recently. Good friend of the family, great guy.

It’s not that I don’t trust Beam. I do, and I’m not slighting him or meaning to sound like I don’t think he’s a good pitcher. Clearly he is an excellent pitcher. I just think in the NCAA Tournament you pitch your best arms. He’s still young. Tidwell is experienced and knows what pitching in a regional feels like.
I think ultimately you may be right and Beam could get the start, but there is an inherent risk with using him on Friday and I’m sure Tony knows that. Can’t overlook any opponent, especially after Wright State last year. Every team is going to give you their best shot!
