The Official #1 Tennessee vs Alabama State Regional Game Thread Friday June 3rd (6PM EST SEC NETWORK)

If they go to the ticket tracking scenario, then create a web site, run by Tennessee, where a season ticket holder can legitimately sell their ticket if they cannot attend. That will give the ticket holder an easy place to sell the tickets as well as give fans a place to get a ticket should they need one. They could charge the purchaser a small fee for processing the orders. Just my $0.02.

Holy freak did I have a nightmare last night. Game 1 vs bama st. Bottom 9. They had 2, we didn't.

Think Mighty Casey rather than Bat Flip King.

Was glad I woke up.

I think I need a therapist.
Would you like to talk about it?
Sit down, make yourself comfortable and let’s talk about your childhood...
GBO!!

That’s awesome.
Everyone else(at work) wanted Friday or Saturday, I took a chance that I’ll get to see our Vols wrap up the Knoxville regional on Sunday.
I’m not sure if they’re on the porch or chairbacks yet? Last year they were chairbacks and we had primo seats to watch Drew Gilbert’s walk off!!
😎
GBO!!

I know companies that have a monthly raffle for Braves tickets in Atlanta. A great way to say thanks and motivate a workforce. I totally support filling empty seats. That is not rocket science. Automated “will not show” at “will pay for your empty seat” at will call.

This. They would need their own exchange platform or a version of an existing one like Ticketmaster offers teams.

Our company constantly gives tickets to GM’s at some of our biggest accounts, that often go unused.😞
Big events like regionals, our VP usually tries to take care of employees first.
GBO!!

Hopefully Tennessee will soon. They’re aware of the technology.

I genuinely believe its something we all need to make our voice heard about, after the season.

My concern is UT just signed a deal with Ticketmaster...easily in the highest tier of evil corporations (Ticketmaster, Comcast, etc). If their usual pattern holds, they'll fight tooth and nail to preserve ticket transfers, then create an exchange that they (not UT) control. If you were annoyed with the Music City Bowl process and their "dynamic pricing", I'd definitely keep a wary eye on the situation .

If nothing else, if UT would just monitor the accounts to weed out the flippers, I think we'd all be ok with that.

For baseball in particular since the seating is at such a premium.

I don't see it happening at UT because Tennessee is a scalper friendly state. Blew my mind when I moved there from Ga where scalping is illegal. Went to Bristol and they were all over the sides of the road selling tickets. They won't stop them from selling on the internet.

Ticketmaster is a spawn of Satan.

It can be a blessing and a curse. If you can wait until the last minute when scalpers just want to dump tickets you can get a good price. I've gotten into BMS a couple of times for $20 for 2 tickets because they didn't want to go home with nothing.
